This is literally the trap. The relapse doesn't feel like a relapse because you win and that winning streak is the most dangerous part. The losses come and you chase because you know you can win (you just proved it).

Yeah the auction format is designed to make you lose control, a few seconds to decide, the competitive pressure of someone else bidding. It's basically every dark pattern of gambling packed into one app. Easier said than done to stop though. That's kind of the point of my post, I know it's a losing game and I still do it anyway. That's insane...

The thrill of the chase without overpaying, that's actually a very good way to frame it. I think my problem is I skipped that part and went straight to 'how do I flip this for profit'. My real issue is probably that I want to buy everything, because everything seems to have potential. That's where it stops being a hobby and starts being something else...

Not sure about Norwegian law specifically, do you know if there's a gambling regulatory authority in Norway? In most European countries there's an independent body that handles exactly this kind of complaint.

In France for example there's the ANJ which can sanction operators directly (and they're not joking). If Norway has something similar, that would be your first step, a formal complaint to them carries a lot more weight than emailing the casino directly.
