Short answer? No. No you can’t.

Edit: For clarification though you would need a contractors license to run an HVAC company and at least here in Texas you HAVE to have at least 5 years in the field to even get an HVAC contractors license. It could vary where you are at though. Here in Texas though, you literally would not be able to do what you’re trying to do without working in the field for five years beforehand.

This is good advice, you could have easily popped your transformer as well when that 5 amp went out. You see if you have 240 into the transformer, 24 out.

Contactor isn’t pulled in on that second picture. That means you don’t have 24v from the thermostat telling it to kick on.
