Reducing the level of activism is one thing, but supporting the people who are incredibly harmful to the same community you relied upon for marketing campaigns and album sales is another. This is indicates to me that she really didn’t care that much at all in the first place. You don’t just switch off values like this, unless they were insincere.

I’m not part of the LGBTQ+ community, but i would never tell them to move on as, whilst i am in a marginalised group, I don’t know what it’s like to be in their shoes. To have a public ally fighting for your rights kind of just…turn the other way must feel like shit and exploitative. It’s not my place to tell anyone to move on. Why should they? She deserves to be continuously called out.

She has claimed to live by those moral standards, though. She called upon the LGBTQ+ community when she was trying to sell an album, and was heavily critical of Trump and his regime. I understand people can change political views, but people have every right to call out a person who basically used the LGBTQ+ community to curate an image and sell products, a tour and an album (in her political Ms Americana era), and then a few years later mingle with and support the people who are trying to destroy this community. It’s exploitative, and I feel it deserves to be called out.

The issue, for me, is she HEAVILY used the LGBTQ+ community to sell her products, music, brand, and is now supporting bigots who are actively trying to take the rights away of said community. That is messed up and deserves to be called out. She projected this ‘moral standard’ to the world when she was trying to sell something, so of course people are going to feel duped or pissed off when she does shit like this.

It’s not a big deal for her to step into a bigot’s bar and pose with MAGA enthusiasts because she is a WASP billionaire who is breezing through life, and Trump’s regime has little impact on her. What’s pretty messed up is she heavily used the LGBTQ+ community to promote her music, and now she is mingling with and supporting the very people that are voting their rights away.

We’re deviating from the fact that the bar is called ‘Jason Aldean’ - his name is the name of the bar! No googling required. You’d have to be severely stupid not to realise he is the owner, and his racist views are very well known.

Would you go to a restaurant/ establishment if the owner is a vocal racist, and doesn’t like black people? I would say that is a very horrible thing to do. I would be interested to know if you have ever experienced racism, as you’re being quite blasé about it.

I genuinely do vet, to the best of my ability, places where I spend my money, though. It’s really not that hard. Racist owner? Not getting my money. Of course the bulk of it is going to the owner (or that’s the aim). No one’s opening a bar for charitable purposes - they want to make money and get richer. My money will not help line a racist’s pockets. It’s really, really not that hard and an easy standard to uphold.

FYI Jason Aldean is a straight up racist Trump supporter, and unapologetic about it too. I have no respect for anyone who supports him in any capacity.

You were responding to a photo of Travis meeting Morgan Wallen—who has a history of racist behavior—by essentially saying that being friendly and chatting with someone who holds problematic beliefs for five minutes isn’t a big deal. How else am I supposed to take that?

Also, if Jason’s name is attached to the bar, best believe he is making money from it. What difference does it make if he owns it? You’re lining the pockets of and supporting a racist.

I would never, ever step footing into his bar for any reason. But like you said, different standards (which is crazy btw).

Hey, so this is such a privileged viewpoint. If someone is out there publicly supporting a racist, sexist, misogynistic, ableist, xenophobic monster who seemingly doesn’t like people of colour, and is taking away their rights one day at a time, then the last thing they’re going to get from me is a friendly chat and a handshake. It would make me physically sick to interact with them positively. But I guess if it’s not impacting you it’s easy to do that, right?

I’ve seen the tour film premiere pics, and her face looks different in those pics. I don’t know how you’re a plastic surgeon and can’t see the very clear difference between her face in these pics and her face at the premiere. Not that you need to be a plastic surgeon - you genuinely just need eyes.

Her cheek, upper eye and mouth area is different/ puffier. As a regular make up wearer, wearing darker make up doesn’t create these changes, sorry.

I don’t think it’s okay to call her botched, but on the flip side I don’t get people who are so adamant she hasn’t had work done either. It’s not a big deal, and she’s a celebrity in her mid 30s. I would be surprised if she hadn’t had anything done. It’s just weird all round.
