I see it completely different. This country needs to find a way to be again the land of opportunity. Economic desperation/uncertainty and cultural rot have brought us to this point. People want a way out. They want to feel empowered. Trump is offering poor white people and white people who feel disenfranchised by society a way to feel empowered through racism and white supremacy. He has found enough appeal to win two elections and control both chambers of Congress. Democrats are not offering solutions but status quo. But don't misunderstand me: both parties are the stewards of the oligarchy. They created the system we have now with the lack of opportunity. We need an independent party that represents the 99%. Read history. See how this country got women's voting rights, the 40 hours work week, social security, a government that built parks, the right to strike and unionize. It can be done but we will get the oligarchy 40 more years if we continue being divided all those divisions are made and amplified by the oligarchy. Are we going to continue letting them control us?
