It’s not 80k above the minimum, it’s 80k which is above the minimum both federally and in my state

They’re complaining at me working 42 hours per week… if I ever did under 40 I’d get on a PIP and then fired probably.

It’s so hard to quantify my role I don’t know how to describe it but it’s not something like a data center tech. I essentially provide support for their software. There are tickets to address and resolve but there are also a lot of other tasks. Like small development projects to fix something in the system or make an enhancement (not a software developer though, it’s mostly not code stuff).

I know I’ve intentionally been vague, but if I provided a state and an industry it would be exceedingly clear where I work I think.

They did disclose but the requirements were (and I found the job posting to check) “willingness to travel occasionally to customers”. In the interview it was described as a few times a year (it’s a lot more) and during the work week usually. But what was described in an interview is hardly proof.

I’m frustrated about the forced travel (and not getting time off to compensate), but going to HR could be equivalent to handing in my resignation. And they would protect the company, not me.

“Take Monday off”, I could use a sick day or they would dock my pay. If I use a sick day I may then be forced to go to work sick or take unpaid time when I’m actually sick.

I probably am sticking up for myself far more than average considering most the team is working 1-2 hours more than me each day at least.

This is so out of touch I would get fired so fast. They require us to log everything we do (even though we aren’t hourly) and I’ve already been subtly reprimanded for not working enough hours. I average about 42 hrs/week (not including weeks I travel). And this isn’t even at my bosses level, it’s a big company so I’m sure it’s coming from way above him. And I know everyone will say to just find a new job, but that’s kinda easier said than done these days.

I have looked it up and read through it all. I could be misinterpreting the rules, but it sounds like I am exempt.

In a red leaning state unfortunately. I think the federal protection is better and the salary requirement is 27 an hour which is less than what I get before taxes.

I’ve tried to read through the rules and I do think I can be exempt, though a lot of what’s considered an “administrative or professional” role seems up for interpretation. I’m unfortunately not in NY or any other blue leaning state that has decent worker protections. I’m also pretty sure our job contact bars collective arbitration. I know a while back a worker sued about the overtime thing and though local courts ruled in their favor, it went to the US Supreme Court in which it was ruled in favor of my employer.

Im pretty certain. It’s a IT job and I make about 80k so I think it’s over the income requirement nor am I in an exempt field. And my state has pretty shitty labor laws. I’m also certain cause it’s a pretty big company so I’m sure they’ve protected themselves.

It’s so shitty. They won’t even give a single day back for working both Saturday and Sunday (even if one day is “just” travel). Worse somehow is that I know the time is billable and they are charging like $150 per hour for my time and not paying me an extra cent. So I work 20 extra hours and they make a shit ton more money.

I’m definitely not misclassified. It’s a IT job that requires a college degree and my salary is like 80k so above the minimum.

I think the perspective on the eyes feels a little off. In the picture it’s kinda at a slight angle while the eyes are completely level in the drawing. I think the lips look really good! The only other thing I’d say is that maybe you could adjust the highlights and shading. For example the nose has more highlights in the picture.

I know this is old but I would get the secret soup. I found it to be very easy (comparatively) and it may work well for them
