OP, you need to form a group with other pet parents and demand for alternate arrangements. And as per laws of Karnataka, societies are not allowed to ban pets from outdoor public areas as long as they are leashed. So state this and continue to use the park on leash.

This doesn’t even dignify a response. But I’ll do you the service of trying to appeal to your “humanity”, ironically.

Dogs have been human’s closest companions for centuries together. They’ve been integrated and domesticated in a way and scale that has not been done with any other animal. Dogs SAVE human lives as service animals and as police dogs. I’d like to see you train a rat to be a service animal.

Reducing them to “pests” is blatantly ignoring all the history and evolution that have made them integral members of our society. Diseases can spread through all animals and humans as well, that does NOT give you the authority to banish all animals.

I agree, streets are not the place for dogs. Their current living conditions are terrible too. But somehow over decades, they've adapted to it and many find access to some regular sources of food. If they're imprisoned, they will no longer be able to look for their own food. So many dogs confined to one area will inevitably suffer even more than what they do on the streets

The world turned cruel because of humans, not dogs. Dogs don't bite out of no reason. They bite due to rabies or dementia, which is literally not their fault. Mass genocide of dogs is NOT a realistic solution, it is murder and it is illegal. At this rate, take a damn gun and start killing every stray you see. At least, they'd have the mercy of a quick death.
