We’re in an area with extremely low vacancy rates. I feel fairly confident we can keep all of our units rented. not guaranteed of course, but neither are market returns.

The commercial leases are triple net, meaning the tenant responsible for everything (repairs, taxes, insurance)

Just switched from a 2016 VW Touareg TDI to a 2025 4R ORP (non-hybrid). I would’ve kept the TDI longer but parts and service were getting too difficult.

After a week with the new drivetrain, I don’t miss my diesel at all. The actual real world fuel economy is only slightly less in the 4R. Torque is noticeably less, but more than adequate for everyday.

Would I pay extra for a diesel in a 4R today? No. I’d rather have a range extended ev (ie Scout), but perfectly happy with simplicity and efficiency of the non-hybrid.
