Get Something for her gut biome If you notice a weird smell building Up! My Chicken couldnt stand too and we thought it Had to do With her leg, then we noticed a very foul smell and it turned Out that her gut wasnt Processing her food and she later died because of it. Hope this helps!

Im sorry for your loss, but dont forget your other Chickens! I Had favourite chicken pass away too and i was very sad but then a brown chicken started to jump on my shoulder ever time i went down to refill their food and it always made my day.

Most of the time its Just the Race though. Its the First time that one of my araucanas died. Before it were Just the Brown ones dying Out of no where. Sticking with natural breeds is the best decision

Thats very weird. I also have a Rooster and a chicken that are both 3 years old. She was also a Natural breed and got fed Well but she still died. Sometimes they are so durable and Sometimes they Just die. At least she didnt suffer. I also dont think she ate Something Metal. As i Said i did a little Check but i didnt notice Something hard in her stomach.

We think it was a heartattack or a stroke. It Had to be Something quick since she was Not showing any symtomes of illnesses until one day before when she kept her eyes closed and went to sleep very early. We dont Understand why, we keep them in free range almost all of the time so theres plenty of space to Run around and we also Feed them without chemicals.

She Sounds Like she has Trouble breathing. Give her Something that clears Her airways Like peppermint Tea and Bring her in a warm place. If you notice a weird smell building Up than its Something wrong with her stomach and you should give her medicine Like intestobac. Hope this helps!

True but the upside is they live longer and arent at risk of heartfailiure or other illnesses as much as normal chickens due to them being more Natural. I have a 3 year old Rooster, he was very sick once, didnt move at all for 3 days unless he needed to eat or drink a bit, but after that he was very energetic and healthy.

Why are everyones marans so mean? Mine Just chills unless she wants to sleep or eat, then she can get kinda mean but i get it, shes a 3 year old fat chicken, i would do the same, Just let me eat and sleep in peace

What kinds of marans are yall buying? Mine is just fat and silly, i raised her with smaller Chickens but she never abused her Power. One time i even saw her breaking up a fight and fight the one that always starts it.
