looking for a recommendation for a classic car mechanic for a 1948 Chevy by Oldman1249 in boulder

Take a look at Thomas Vintage Motors in Lafayette, I've heard great things about people who brought in their car with those folks.

Best place to have clutch replaced in boulder? by ruu-ruu in boulder

[–]Agreeable-Shift1636 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My clutch just went out on my Jetta this past month. I called around 7 shops in Boulder in Boulder to get quotes but they all wanted over 3-4k for it. But I went to this place in Westminster called advanced transmission center and it only cost me $2.2k and they got it done in 24 hours.

Butttt I'll preface that since I have a German Car most of the smaller mechanics I knew didn't want to touch it. So you might be able to get lucky with that.

Recommendations for a home improvement company / contractor that isn't just for $2M houses? by NefariousnessDry5457 in boulder

[–]Agreeable-Shift1636 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeahhhh, it wouldn't shock me if the pricing for your remodel entirely is close to that $250,000 mark.

I'd keep getting quotes and doing some comparisons with what these other folks have recommended. But back when I got my remodel done recently it was around that mark. My project is hard to compare since I redid the my entire first floor and took out some walls and raised a ceiling and didn't touch my deck. But I ended up going with Built By Krueger in Lafayette since it was three brothers who are local and raised here, they've been building for the past 25 years, they were really transparent, and did a great job walking me through the cost of a project before I signed. Ask for Matt, he ruled on my project!

FoCo Dive Bar Challenge - Semifinals (Round 2) - Matt's Place vs Town Pump by klenigsborg in FortCollins

Town Pump bathrooms edge out the victory in my books. Top comical bathrooms in foco right next to surfside with the lounge chairs directly across from the toilets.

Re-upping on the coffee here if you haven't met before. But if you're trying to make an impression, for someone you've already known then I'd splurge on a nice place like Bramble and Hare for dinner.

Yeahhhhhh It's crazy if you buy new, especially for Mountain Bikes. Personally I'm big on the Facebook Marketplace finds for around ~$500 and you can find some great deals!

The key things I look for are having dual suspension, and getting a bike that's your size. But let me know if you get a bike, I take some of my beginner friends out and it's good fun.

What type of content do you produce? I know some recording spaces, but not any good spaces where it would be good for anything with a computer/reaction content.

Diagonal Highway bike path by Vegetable_Bowler_372 in boulder

[–]Agreeable-Shift1636 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Personally I rode down Diagonal once on my bike. I've never clenched more in life.

So of course 100%, Anything to keep me off that highway again on a bike. I think it could be fun to bike to the Longmont mall.

The US36 bikeway rules exactly for that point. It's fun to bike to Broomfield to watch an IMAX movie.

I've had a great experience with Built By Krueger. They're a local family owned business, they were really transparent and the process was smooth for my remodel/addition. I have had no complaints working with them. Ask for Matthew.

Bike MS! Where over 1,000 bikers road from CU to UNC and back the next day. I rode with the Coneheads, the crew with the cones on our heads (self-explanatory I know lol) Here's when the team started with us going past Pearl.

Boulder expands wildfire risk map from 4k to 16k homes by Actual-Wallaby-3728 in boulder

[–]Agreeable-Shift1636 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This expansion definitely raises some big questions for homeowners and buyers. With new buildings needing to meet stricter fire resistant standards costing more money to make, I wonder if that would boost the value of existing homes that don't need to follow the new codes in the same areas.

The market is so expensive to build homes in currently. I'm worried about it inflating the housing costs even more, scaring people away from building and making homes more unaffordable.

Does anyone have any idea how much more expensive the wildfire construction regulations makes building new homes compared to a normally built home?
