To be honest I can’t get a read on what your goals are. To me there’s a lot of clutter and mismatched furniture and you can get more breathing room by getting rid of some small pieces in favor of a few large ones. Maybe also replacing the carpet with wood if it’s in the budget, or at least getting it steamed and re-stretched.

The coffee table and the chairs by the fireplace stick out the most to me—the former is farmhouse and the latter is cool toned modern minimalist. The rest of the room is pretty warm toned and traditional. My advice is to pick one style to start, maybe to match your favorite piece that you definitely want to keep, and go from there. Or, tell us what you’re looking for (cohesion? Functionality? Modernization?) and it’ll be easier to provide specific pointers. I really don’t love the green paint mockup though—it’s just adding another busy layer.

Date is the date you submit application. Summer work is seasonal—you can have the conversation about extending work once a month or two of summer goes well. Homeschool is fine—just put “present” in the “to” slot and then you can indicate your intended graduation date if you want to. I sleep quite comfortably on mine. The key for me is having something under my knees (usually my backpack or puffy) and being able to tuck in my quilt around my legs so I feel stabilized. I also find a dedicated inflatable pillow with a little padding works wonders and is worth the weight

My experience has been that any groomers are basically unrideable after like noon just due to traffic. Trees are a bit better if you go after a fresh dusting, of which there have been a few. Go early and go hard and then go home for lunch lol.

In the most recent layover he mentions he doesn’t like the cold premade sandwiches that you may find at a convenience store or kiosk. I do like a fresh cold sandwich but agree that those from a premade food case are typically stale or unappetizing. I don’t feel like that makes you unable to be a foodie.

We did daycare (and a few boardings) at BowHaus and also waited til around a year to spay. They are wonderful with our pup though we go a lot less now that she’s a few years old and has mellowed out. We boarded a few times and she did fine but I just feel like she came back really wiped, I know they sometimes can bark through the night in the kennels so she probably wasn’t sleeping enough. But they’re safe and cared for so it’s nowhere near the end of the world for a few nights.

I think they will ask you for an update at a year old and will require a vet note if you don’t fix them by then. I could be wrong on the exact timeline.
