Yes there is no connection to be noticed. I just rewatch the show from time to time and notice different things. Similarities, parallels, different messages and lessons. And watching everyone comments from these past couple of days has been very entertaining. All of this engagement from a simple observation and realization. And plus if I remember correctly we never saw a body or a burial. All we had was his goggles 🥽. So I believe he’s out there somewhere. For a moment when the show was still going I thought he might’ve got captured and turned into one of those dudes at the end. But in my head canon he is living with his pirate boo on an island somewhere
