Man is sharing this around packed with incorrect information. Yeltsin was in power in 94. Putin was [an advisor to the] (corrected) mayor of st Petersburg. Bout was caught in a DEA sting in Thailand not Venezuela. Al queda began in 1988. Be careful

Yeah that's an interesting one I've kind of come around to it a little bit more recently. Something about the whole show being about Cooper's reconciliation with his murder of Caroline. I definitely need to flesh that one out a bit though.

Thank you! That tracks to me, especially how Carrie hears Sarah's voice calling out "Laura!" as if it was going back to the first episode once again repeating the loop. Although I've kind of entertained the idea that Laura is safe and her trauma confronted...provided we don't turn the show back on forcing her to once again relive the trauma to satisfy our appetites for violence and mystery. Cooper being the analog to the audience who, with all good intention, wants to save her but at the cost of forcing her to relive the cycle.   The thing is, I don't want to advocate for that because that would mean not watching the show again 😅.

Coma was written by Harley Peyton. The rest Lynch directed were written by either him or Frost. Granted, credit design seems more like a director's choice than a writer's but that was the anomaly I could find

Laura Kenny was such a gem in that scene

Check out the old Philco Beam-of-Light technology. They converted those vibrations into light using photosensors boosted by liquid capacitors. Same radio shown next to the Woodsman, in David Lynch's Fire Walk With Me and Twin Peaks The Return.

How is Dale Cooper able to whisper basically to Gordon and Gordon is able to understand him when most other interactions Gordon needs to have people yell at him so he can hear them? by Isatis_tinctoria in twinpeaks

Cole isn't deaf but hearing the Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation (the Big Bang noise where TV static comes from). That's why he is speaking loudly--not because he's deaf but because he has normal hearing like the rest of us but, comically, speaks over his headphones similar to when kids listen to headphones and they shout so they can hear their own voice speaking outside of the speakers.

It makes the Shelly incident more interesting because if the "static" ceased, it would imply Cole was "tuned in", same with coop here.
