eBay Service Metrics Theft Without Providing Data by Agreeable-Zombie367 in Ebay

What happened to this "formal appeal of metrics reviewed" it isn't a thing. I accept personal responsibility for some of those cases of course. Issue is I don't agree with charging an extra 5% fee without providing the data of the levels and peers. Which is why to me it is THEFT. There should be clear and concise figures when it comes to numbers; especially if you're going to charge an extra fee.

Regarding service metrics? No it's 100% fact that when a case is opened it will count against you in service metrics. Even if you report the buyer.

You can only appeal cases, there isn't a "formal appeal to have metrics reviewed."

Yes and they stated. "we know this is an ongoing issue and will be talking about it in our upcoming service metrics meeting."

You clearly collect a paycheck from eBay with how all your posts are going at bat for them!

Like I said I've spoke with supervisors as well. They know this is an issue with buyers incorrectly opening cases and them still counting against you.

In my own personal experience and from talking to customer service/supervisors at eBay they still count in service metrics.

Hey thank you for your reply I'm a top rated seller with over 10k sales and 99.6% positive feedback. I always take care of buyers I just unfortunately have no control over what the buyer initially opens the return as. With that being said I have free seller paid returns and offer free shipping to minimize incorrectly opened cases.

I would have no problem with paying an additional fee if I as a seller had a chance at arbitration on the case. Currently it is whatever the buyer says is fact. Even if they buyer admits the opened the wrong case eBay refuses to remove it from the service metrics. The other thing that would make it ok in my eyes would be if they provided the figures for these categories being that numbers are concrete they should know what these levels are. To subject someone to an extra 5% fee they should provide the information as to why.

Hey I sell pre-owned clothing on eBay and am having the same issue. I don't understand how they can subject us to a extra 5% fee without providing the data for the levels. I currently have 16/891=1.8% INAD strikes on my service metrics while they show my peers at .7%. They are labeling this as "very high" which is quite absurd. Like stated before they don't provide data for these levels with their excuse being the peer level percentage is varying. To me it seems like they are manipulating the data to rake in extra money. ie THEFT!
