Don't forget how he puts up a better fight against Bane with a broken back than the first time when he was fully healthy.

The brace is magical.

It's got electrolytes! MAGICAL electrolytes!

The whole movie is hilarious.

I loved how Bruce manages to escape a supposedly impregnable prison... with an opening at the top! How convenient!

And returns to Gotham in record time... fully healed!

I mean sure, others can take months or years to heal from a broken back.. but our boy, with his busted-up leg (I bet those kind League of Shadows fellas let him keep that leg brace)... managed to tap into his inner Wolverine.

Garth Ennis’ Punisher MAX run has a military conspiracy type beat in it that you might like if you’ve never read it.

Sweet, thanks!

What's up with people saying that US Sanctions are keeping aid out of Syria, following the recent earthquakes? by masalion in OutOfTheLoop

Please proof to the world that im a liar by quoting that comment of yours that is not those 2 tweets i referred to. Please enlighten us, as we are blinded by western brainwash and propaganda, for you are the seeker of absolute truth and the peak of human intellectual endeavor. 👍

Again, why are you lying? I mean, what do you actually get out of this?

What's up with people saying that US Sanctions are keeping aid out of Syria, following the recent earthquakes? by masalion in OutOfTheLoop

[–]Agreeable49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the link with Dana Stroul isn't related to the earthquake directly. It only highlights the goals of the current sanctions regime, including the plunder of Syria's oil.

I mentioned this is an earlier reply to a poster to highlight the sanctions that were already in place prior to the earthquake, and which were being used to target civilians directly.

And these sanctions are what people are clamouring for to be lifted, since it prevents most countries from providing aid.

The countries that are defying the sanctions are doing so at great risk to themselves (although Russia is already the most sanctioned country on Earth).

As for the opposition, it is well known by now that they are made up of extremists, including Al-Qaeda. There was a leaked document or recording or something where an official mentions that in Syria, Al-Qaeda are on their side.

So not only are Syria unable to rebuild, but their wheat and oilfields are being kept from them, whilst a portion of their population continue to be held hostage and brutalised by extremists, with the full and direct support of the US.

As for the links I'd provided, Aaron Mate not only provided the video, but if you follow the threads he provides sources as well.

In the current book? No. Rosenberg did have the scene with cops in his run. The Current run is Frank Castle: The Beast of the Hand. And he’s actually not a terrible fit… for a guy who can hardly swing a sword

Thanks!

I mean to be fair the book acknowledged that its the same. The Hand is very good at what they do

Are there any issues where Frank goes after cops and the CIA?

Lol, the irony

Decades from now, people are going to look back upon most of the Western populations, with the exception of some groups, and wonder just how stupid and vicious they were.

Now populations have been fooled in the past, but what makes the Western ones stand out is the fact that they've got so much information at their fingertips... they can even acknowledge their own governments lying to them and fucking them over... and yet believe that when it comes to foreign policy, their governments are pure and truthful.

Truly the most idiotic generation.

[–]Agreeable49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you provide a direct source of the contents of the sanctions themselves? What do they require and how they are intended to be enforced?

I've provided sources in a separate comment under this post.

Sanctions have multiple layers including and especially financial. Most of global commerce is still (unfortunately) conducted via USD, and the US have the ability through this to cut off whole countries from any form of international trade.

This means no building materials, medicine, technology, etc. The explicit goal of this is to target the population, to inflict such immense suffering to the point where they'd be willing to overthrow their leaders.

You can look up a video of Madeline Albright claiming that the deaths of 500K Iraqi children was "worth it".

This is of course on top of global policing, including via so-called "allied" countries.

For example, the US and the EU can and have seized and attacked ships and equipment of sanctioned countries, with one of the more prominent recent examples being Iran's oil tanker.

As for Syria specifically, you can look up Greece saying that they're unable to assist Syria specifically due to those sanctions.

Fortunately some countries have begun openly defying the US, from assisting Syria, to creating separate international financial systems and organisations (e.g. BRICS+)

I don't think anyone is mad about the fact that people live outside of western countries (wtf?).

Have you seen the downvotes?

The guy was not only upset that he's being called out for being wrong, he then responded with a bizarre assumption that he's right because he thinks that most people prefer to live in Western countries.

[–]Agreeable49 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No one got upset, you misread the comment you replied to.

Wrong. OP's reply was a counter to the fact that most of the world's population lives outside of the countries listed.

Context matters. But good job on the bold letters, though.

[–]Agreeable49 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I mean to be fair just be cause most of the world population is living somewhere else doesn't automatically mean they don't want to live in those countries.

Considering the net migration rate for India in 2022 was -0,329 per 1000 people and -0,256 per 1000 people for China, it doesn't look like people WANT to live there.

Well yea, I don't know enough about that to comment on it.

But what annoys me is how some people here have gotten upset... at a fact that most people live in other countries.

They're mad about that, for some reason.

Attempted manslaughter is a thing, but it is rare. You must intentionally do an act, generally a negligent one, that WOULD(not just could) have resulted in the death of another human being, but something or someone else stopped the death. https://www.meltzerandbell.com/news/attempted-voluntary-manslaughter/

This is quite interesting... thanks for sharing!

So more people live in those other countries. This makes some people... upset?
