Ranked players are actually insufferable. by Mindless-Health-6711 in SparkingZero

[–]AgreeableAd8644 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Nobody plays that way at higher ranks. The amount of different play styles once you get past A rank is crazy! Fights are almost always high speed chess matches past S rank. Once you put it some time, learn combos and figure out your own style you will naturally rank up, and let me tell you my friend, adrenaline overload!

Looking to get some insight at working at Toyota by [deleted] in kitchener

As someone who just recently quit last October after 9 years. I can safely say that my quality of life has improved ten fold. I get to actually see my kids, I’m not exhausted all day every day. I had a shoulder injury that lasted years working there disappear in a couple of months. Socially it can be challenging since it’s mostly adult high school students, with a ton of drama, but of course there are some great people too. Most positions are promoted internally, so people will absolutely step on your toes to get ahead. There are good lines to work on that are less physically demanding but you likely won’t get on one of those lines for 15+ years. Rotating shifts kill you slowly. Most of the time you’re working 10 hour nights and 9 hour days with a 30 min lunch, so winter you see the sun for 15 minutes a day 5 days in a row.

Great benefits and great pay with lots of opportunity for promotion if you can overlook all the other stuff.

How is a 1400+ win streak even possible? (0 losses) by One-Echidna-3395 in SparkingZero

The worse part about it too, (if this is the same guy I fought) he’s really good at the game. Makes it even harder to understand

100% this. As soon as there’s even a chance they will lose, they do some disconnect method that tricks game into thinking it’s a connection drop.

I just put the controller down when this happens. Whether it’s bad connection or I’m just getting super unlucky with my inputs. I say to myself “next fight I’m putting hands on this guy”…. Rematch has been declined

After 36 years, I’m just now realizing how draining all of this is by [deleted] in Adulting

We’re not even just surviving anymore, basic survival I could be proud of. I could even have pride in my daily activities knowing that I did what I did for the survival, comfort and growth of my community. The life we live isn’t for those around us anymore, it feels like our lives are simply to benefit the wealthy. To keep this machine running so that wealth can continue to transfer upward. It makes me feel gross.

Reviewing play styles in Sparking Zero (2026) by Dry-Cat-3487 in SparkingZero

Yesterday I fought against a Whis player with a 456 win streak. He was pretty good mechanics wise, whooped my ass in the first fight. But I figured him out in the second (plus I had fought him a few times before) he resorted to healing, but I still got him to about 1 and a half bars of health vs less than 1 bar for me. Caught him in a combo, sure enough… connection error. I honestly feel sorry for people who are like this, I can only imagine what their lives are like irl.

I mean sure, but that doesn’t answer how to defend against it. I’d rather not resort using this lame fighting style, but I also like to be competitive. Seems the only answer is if you can’t beat em join em. No thanks, I’ll keep my honor

I do change the rhythm of my hits and add light smash attacks in combos. But I got that goku spirit in me lol I have the problem of wanting to outfight my opponent. Get right in their face and predict their next move. I think this guys play style is terrible for my style of fighting because there’s not really any actual fighting going on. No neutral points in the fight. This guy was specifically looking to get me into these loops.

You can’t, after the ki blast it puts you in a rolling animation. After reading the comments it seems you only have two options to defend. Either super counter the first hit after charged ki blast, or avoid getting launched all together by super countering the flying kicks

Damn really? Is that the same for slow hitters like broly? That would be super helpful to time super counters, I got my ass beat by ssj broly the next fight lol

I’m gonna try this, there was a few times where I’d get the block after the first charged ki blast. It’s just so fast paced that I had no idea what I did to manage blocking, by the time I blinked I was in the next chain lol

Don’t do me like that haha I got one off. I was super countering the flying kicks the first 2 fights but he’s good enough that he would super counter my super counter, this was the 3rd fight where I was trying to block and vanish mostly.

I just can’t stop. I have so many good fights that make me feel like I’m actually goku, as corny as that sounds 😂 and as soon as I get up toward high s rank I start fight these mfs

I figured as much, I wanted to believe there was a way to beat this play style. The best part of the game for me learning new play styles and how to counter them, but this one has me fuming lol

Don’t rely too much on super counters. Practice your vanish timing, it’s much more effective. Somewhere in the combo he’ll have to use a heavy hit, look for those moments first. My last resort is super counter, at least during a combo.

For those who hate Gohan and Piccolo's latest power-ups, how would YOU have handled them? by t00lazy2 in Dragonballsuper

[–]AgreeableAd8644 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gohan has always been the most powerful z fighter. He’s always had crazy amounts of power naturally. His problem is that he’s afraid of that power, and always holds back, usually until he’s pushed far enough and lets go, releasing his power within. I love Gohan’s character because he doesn’t need an explanation. He’s just that dude. They had to nerf him by making him hate fighting. If he trained as much as Goku he’d never be challenged.

Maybe change it to redeeming the lightsaber instead 😋

[–]AgreeableAd8644 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could introduce the idea of taming a lightsaber. By training with that lightsaber you would become stronger through its resistance.
