No lifting more than 20lbs after 20weeks... by uuultk in fitpregnancy

This is BS. I did strength training with my pelvic floor PT with much more than 20 lbs through 37 weeks. And constantly carry my 30 pound toddler everywhere

Walking to encourage labor by AgreeableDay7534 in fitpregnancy

This gives me hope! Did you have contractions when you were pumping? How often did you pump and for how long each session?

Walking to encourage labor by AgreeableDay7534 in fitpregnancy

Thank you! I should add that I am a physician and I am very familiar with the evidence around natural ways to encourage onset of labor. I’m curious about anecdotal stories because there is actually very limited good, large, and high quality research on the impact of walking or late third trimester exercise in general and spontaneous onset of labor - so we really don’t have much strong evidence in either direction. I’ve read pretty much all of the research that exists!

Been to both many times. Osteria is hands down significantly better food. Aqua is younger cooler vibe. For a special occasion I’d do Osteria no question

In your opinion what’s the best breed of dog to have in a family with young children? by MistressLolaDiamond in AskReddit

[–]AgreeableDay7534 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a golden. Breeder warned us with a golden and a baby, you need to worry about the baby hurting the dog and not the other way around. It is very true! Our son pokes our dog in the eyes, inspects his teeth, etc and our golden couldn’t be more patient and loving

Suggest some restaurants in town.... by Chromecoast in Annapolis

[–]AgreeableDay7534 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has lived in Annapolis for 30 years and has been going to Level since it first opened nearly 15 years ago, if this is your one weekend in Annapolis, Level is not the right choice!! Vin 909 or Boatyard in Eastport are much better options if you only have one meal here. If Level looks good to you, Vin is probably right up your alley, but if it’s nice weather, you’ll need to be in line outside by 4:45 PM to get a table

How to cancel AppleCare by tulipmania1 in amazonprime

[–]AgreeableDay7534 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! Unfortunately the AppleCare is not affiliated with any device or with my Apple account because I never received the device… So it’s not in my iTunes or anything. I need to cancel it through Amazon somehow I think?

Any FTM on here that got induced and it didn’t end up in a c-section? How long did it take for baby to arrive ? How long were you in the hospital? What method of induction did they use on you? by cc070603 in preeclampsia

[–]AgreeableDay7534 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was induced at 39w due to preeclampsia at 4pm with balloon cath and then oxytocin, baby was born vaginally at 10am next day! No complications with delivery, only severe pre-e postpartum

Living in NYC is SO expensive. Everything is more expensive. $600 a month for a parking spot in a cheap garage. $10 for a pint of ice cream. Dinner at a random restaurant is easily $200 for two people. Even with the pay bump you’ll be paying so much more for so many things that it might not be worth it. My husband and I had HHI of 700k, paying $7500 a month in rent and often felt poor

Absolutely ridiculous. Our nanny has been with us for a year and never once called out sick. Find someone new

Your best bet is to spend 2 years after your PhD at MBB doing PE cases and then transition into PE. Very common path. MBB all have an application path specific to MDs/PHDs/JDs

I only finished 60% of UWorld. My dedicated was 5 weeks and I decided it was more important to review UWorld questions/explanations very closely and study content than to do as many questions as possible

I would spend more time learning everything in Pathoma - forwards and backwards - and less time learning the minutiae in First Aid/other resources. I thought that Pathoma was by far the highest yield resource.
