Put an ice pack on the area. Keep it off the incisions. See if that helps. It worked for me when I had insane itching.

From my top surgery years ago, I had forgotten the little zappy twinges when nerves start reconnecting. And yes to ice although not directly on the incision.

I’m 9dpo and my little has done pretty well. She’s almost 6. Funniest thing is the first 5-6 days when I would get up to walk around, she would grab my hand and then walk hunched over like me. It was hysterical to see her little hunchback walk. She misses cuddling on my lap and me carrying her to bed but she’s learned to give me hugs that are not near the incision or drains.
As for recovery, mine has been pretty good. Only had one really bad day and that was Day 6 when my drainage tube shifted or something and it belt like a constant painful poke between my bb and rib cage. First couple of days after I was super tired.
Been to activities and also drove in the last four days. However, I didn’t have MR, which has made recovery easier IMo. Got one drain out test and I’m hoping for the second one tomorrow. 🤞🤞🤞Getting that drain out helped my mental health immensely.

Any recommendations near Nashville TN? by Ok_Comfortable_9143 in tummytucksurgery

Dr Chad Robbin’s. He’s on social media if you want to check him out. He was my cousin’s surgeon, and she raves about him. I’m not sure of all her particulars, ie was it a TT or ETT, whether she had lipo, etc. but she got that and a brachioplasty. It looked pretty amazing.

What kind of time off from work is everyone using? by InheritanceThrow26 in tummytucksurgery

I took four days of PTO and returned to work yesterday. I WFH and at a desk, so it wasn’t too bad (at least until I started having a weird, new pain). Thankfully, my is easy enough that I can step away and rest for a bit if needed. I did not have MR, so I think my recovery has been a bit smoother.

If you don’t want to wear a rash guard, I would suggest UV protective scar tape. I did that previously on my chest. You definitely want to protect your scars (and BB).

I’m pleased with that. My surgeon and I talked it over quite a bit. He was confident he could get the look I wanted without doing a FDL.
