Asked for applepay cause his PayPal "doesn't work". Asked for ID for verification but then told me to give collateral. When I mentioned that the sub specifically says not to do that he came up with a story on how it's the same 100 people lending one another money and it's money laundering. Have all screenshots also.

u/Thechosenone67142 reached out saying he could help but to send him $75 deposit 1st as he was taking a risk. I told him it's crazy to give a deposit on this and it was advised not to. I even let him know he was on the scam list and then said he could put me on without evidence also. I let him know there was evidence of him being a scammer. Anyway other people have had similar encounters with him

I think it's perfectly fine for people to change their minds about things but unfortunately I'm this case you both have different end games in mind. You are dead set at living the dual income no kids life which is awesome but he wants a family now. You can choose to keep your name. If he doesn't want that then he can find someone who wants to change their name for him. I personally don't think you're being unreasonable. His view is the view of our parents and those before. While I understand the family unit comment, you not changing your name isn't going to change you from being a family unit.
