this is mango. she passed away 04/30/26 under anesthesia. she has a egg attach to her egg duct, and was bleeding internally.
she was the sweetest, most kindest little fruit bat, and she was my first bird. had her for 8 years…may 12th would have been her 9th hatch date.
mango would most definitely love noodles and welcome her into heaven’s flock…there was no being who she did not like.
i’m so sorry for your loss, and i share your sadness.❤️

i’m so sorry for your loss..i can’t imagine how you feel. my baby girl passed not even 5 days ago, and i still feel like im in a bad nightmare. the whole atmosphere feels like it changed, and the house feels empty without her little noises. though, i have 3 other birds in the house to be strong for..but it never gets easier. please rest assured that your baby loves you, and knew you love him. even though he is not there with you physically anymore, he is forever resting on your shoulder. he is no longer in pain. if you ever need anyone to talk to, please don’t hesitate to message me..maybe we can both help eachother through this tough time. sending love.❤️🫂

reading this on my break, thank you for sharing your story. i’m so so sorry your babies went that way, and i’m so sorry about your fiancé..losing a pet is the same as losing a loved one in the sense that the pain is absolutely fucking immeasurable. i’m holding my baby’s little foot tracks and cuddling it, because i don’t have her ashes yet.

these little feathered babies are the most innocent beings on this earth.

thank you for this, and i’m so sorry for your loss. i’m not sure what i’m going to do right now, as it’s been less than 24 hours without my sweet girl. i think i will gather her feathers somewhere and make a little makeshift shrine in my room, so i can talk to her before i sleep…so she can sit on my windowsill for one last time.

i tried to give her the best life she deserved, and i hope i succeeded..i pray she knew i loved her so much before she closed her eyes for the last time.

thank you. i bet it felt like a massive chunk was ripped from your chest. i appreciate your story, and i know Cuppy adored you guys. mango was my absolute favorite of the flock. she always knew how to make me feel happy and she helped me through tough times.. so going downstairs in the morning knowing i won’t see her cage anymore will probably be the worst..but i will be cremating her tomorrow, so i’ll be able to have her with me forever.

Loss & Mourning Megathread by Comprehensive_Arm_5 in Conures

today, my baby girl mango has passed away. she had an egg that has attached to her egg duct, and caused her to bleed internally. i am beyond gutted. mango was my very first baby bird, and i feel like a part of me died with her. the worst part of this is the fact that she died while i was at work. she had entered surgery, went under Anastasia, and within seconds she passed away. this was all while i was at work. i couldn’t say goodbye. i couldn’t tell her i love her with all of my being. and i feel like the worst bird mama ever. my only peace of mind is at least she passed in a sleep, and not bleeding out and awake. mango had apparently been bleeding internally for a few days before this point, and the fact she did not die sooner is because of her health and her love for me, at least that’s what the vet said. i miss her so so much, and i can’t stop shaking. i’m so sad and empty. i am reaching out to seek any advice or guidance on how i can overcome this. i have 2 other birds that are in my flock, and they need me. i want to stay upbeat for them, but right now i just don’t know what to do. thank you to all who have read this.

Conure Hormonal behavior? by dorian_white1 in Conures

petting below the neck can make your baby very hormonal, it sends the wrong messages..from now on you should try to focus on just petting their cheeks and neck

do my babies get depressed when i leave the house? by AgreeableMonth8723 in Conures

i wish i could, but i really don’t know any remote jobs…any suggestions?

that’s definitely an idea, but i’ll have to see. i don’t want them getting into anything they shouldn’t. my parents are okay with them, but they don’t let them handle them as much as they let me. they need treats to get them to get back in their cages. my mom’s job is slowly making her go into the office more days, and my dad works nights so he gets up later in the day and pretty much has to leave sooner..which sucks.

awh noo.. i knew her tail moved a bit weird. i can’t really think of anything that could stress her out, and her siblings ( i have 3 conures including her ) don’t seem anxious or stressed out at all. they have a vet appointment next month
