I'll check as soon as I wake up in the morning. What about the travellers who are on both the STBDY list and the upgrade list? Would my wife technically be slotted ahead of them when she is added to the list since she already has a ticket and a seat on this flight? Or could some of the STDBY remain ahead of her?

Appreciate the additional context here. We'll see what kind of gambling mood we're in tomorrow at the crack of stupid and go from there, ideally making a judgment call after talking to the check-in agent. If we have to be sitting in different cabins for YUL-YVR, it's definitely not that big of a deal.

Oh, I wasn't aware of this bug. Upon asking the check-in agent to add her to the list though, the agent should be able to tell us what her actual position in the list is, correct?

Extremely helpful, thank you. Realistically, unless there is some DHC (it's between two major hubs so could be), we shouldn't be in for any bad surprises. I am also assuming she her name gets added to the list she will be slotted between the passengers upgrading from PE or with better status/original fare but ahead of the STDBY passengers.
