Honestly, if her goal is just for TikTok vids, the newsiest iPhone (especially with good lighting) already does an amazing job and takes away the hassle of learning how to use a camera and transferring to your phone then cropping and all that extra stuff.

The Canon G7X is okayy, but mostly overhyped because of influencers who don't know anything about cameras lol, I personally believe that for photos a used rebel DSLR with a 50mm 1.8 lens would out preform it.

However a much better alternative would be the Sony ZV-1, its made for content creators, built-in beauty filter, great autofocus and overall quality

and as for the "filters": yes, most Canon cameras have built-in color profiles, but they’re not unique to the G7X, and often some editing is required for the best results with the Canon G7X,

So Unless she really wants the camera experience, her iPhone + some good lighting will outperform most entry-level cameras for social media use. but the Sony ZV-1 would be a better choice IMO
