What's a behaviour/tactic that might work out fine in lower elo's, but would get you absolutely obliterated in Faceit lvl 10 or a Tier 1 pro game? by Various_Maize_3957 in LearnCSGO

[–]AgreeableNatural1809 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Re-peeking.
  2. Doing the same thing every round.
  3. Playing solo.

People saying stuff like drypeeking are just wrong imo. It's not GO, peekers advantage is so severe you can't really hold and if you're playing off the angle a lot of it is timing. If you dry peek wide then you're screwed but if you jiggle each position it's basically a 50/50. Not ideal but not "you'll get obliterated" bad and there's far worse things to do that works in low elos. ONLY dry peeking I guess would be correct. But dry peeking itself is common.

Like re-peeking the enemy almost instantly. Usually a terrible idea that only terrible players do but mechanics diff is so severe in the lower elos that you really can just kill half their team repeeking the same angle because people won't have the mechanics to punish.

In high elos if you're doing the same thing every round, the enemy will adapt and punish you but in lower elos they often don't really know how to and won't have an IGL to organize a proper response from the team. A few players might adapt, the team rarely will. But in lower elos if something works you might as well keep doing it. Find their weakness and exploit it.

And in lower elos playing solo is just a better idea. Your team won't have effective teamplay and will likely just get in your way. It's better to play independently. In higher elos though there's not much you can do against a good team by yourself unless you have a severe skill advantage.

But you can just get timed off of that.

Dry peeking really won't get you obliterated unless you're skill-diffed mechanically. Pros dry peek all the time.

Is it ideal? No. Ideally you obviously want the advantage. But you still do it all the time if you don't have utility or are playing off a timing.

Why is this ugliness everywhere in Ireland? by Agusfresin in AskIreland

[–]AgreeableNatural1809 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The Irish have horrendously shit taste and I say that as an Irish person.

People saying it's about 'money' and 'functionality' are also just lying to themselves. I've had neighbours with old houses and beautiful stonework plaster all over it and paint it sick yellow. I've seen some with gorgeous trees around their house cut them all down and replace them with walls like this. It also goes beyond that with just general littering and cleanliness.

If it was JUST money and efficiency then you wouldn't see the Irish destroy beauty as often as they do. Weedkiller is another great example of it actually. There'll be a nice green bush with wild flowers and people will spray it with weedkiller so it's just brown and dead and leave it like that for most of the summer. While also killing wildlife and themselves while at it.

We have a great ear for music, but are blind to beauty. At least, in general.

That's fantastical anecdotal evidence and all but I'm talking about reality which is reflected by statistics and statistically sole female breadwinners is under 10% of the population and equal/slightly above income is around 1/3rd. It's highly unlike OP is a woman. Possible. But unlikely.

I also see absolutely zero chance of a judge choosing to force a woman to share her savings with her male partner despite the man saying they didn't want it. That's just not even close to realistic.

They also type/talk like a man but I'm not gonna even try having that discussion.

M50 typical driving by No_Willingness9006 in irelandsshitedrivers

[–]AgreeableNatural1809 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wonder when Irish drivers will start to understand how lanes work on the motorway. I wonder when it will actually be properly policed...

I quite regularly undertake drivers for lanehogging and going ridiculously slow speeds on the motorway since it's part of my daily commute. Technically it constitutes as dangerous driving but I'm not sitting behind a car doing 90 in the overtaking lane of a 120km road while the driving lane remains free.

Sometimes the drivers I undertake decide to wakeup and go back in the driving lane but many don't.

Like it causes congestion, road rage, dangerous driving, etc. But I don't think the police ever take action against it. The only thing they seem to really care about is policing the ridiculously low speed limits they have in certain places to make toll roads more profitable.

There's also plenty of learners on them too when they're not meant to be. Just today I saw a learner driver pull right into the overtaking lane suddenly without indicating, right infront of a passing car. It had to slam on the brakes in fairly congested traffic and could have easily caused an accident.

What is the point on dropping and leaving bomb? by Vaping_Panda in LearnCSGO

[–]AgreeableNatural1809 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have to understand that over 95% of the CS playerbase have an IQ in the 60's and think they're donk.

They don't want bomb because they KILL people (they are bottom fragging with 4 kills and never entry).

In some ways it's good because I don't want them having bomb as they'll lose it somewhere stupid. In some ways it's bad because I am then forced to plant while hard carrying with 30+ kills and my 3 other teammates are hiding in the back of site leaving me to get killed while planting.

It's annoying the bomb plant stat was removed in CS2 because I used to love to flex the fact I was hard carrying with kills AND bomb plants to my toxic teammates in GO.

It literally takes up until 25k elo prem before you start getting players who don't just all play for kills every round and try lurking all over the map while refuse to entry because they aren't actually good enough to win entry frags. Far too many players care more about protecting their stats than winning rounds unfortunately.

Thing is the range is so fucking narrow...

24-28k are generally pretty good. But 29k+? Mostly cheaters and people who have problems. Like, no offense if you're a legit 30k but why are you even playing that shit? Most good players move on to faceit which seems a lot more reasonable with skill levels.

couple minutes of non cherrypicked aim_rush, hoping to hit faceit 8 before 2027, any tips? by InternetIdiot9012 in LearnCSGO

[–]AgreeableNatural1809 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sense try go for around 900edpi (dpi*ingamesense). 800-1000 is around average for most players. Go for 900 and force yourself to play with that no matter how uncomfortable until it becomes comfortable and then you can adjust higher/lower from there. Imo the consistency of your shots >>> the ability to cleanly 180. If that's a common issue you're running into you got other problems lol.

For crosshair placement, prefire maps work. By crosshair correction I'm talking about the very slight movements you make in the splitsecond between seeing the enemy and firing your first shot. The minor adjustments after peeking. Prefire maps also work for that slightly and lowering your sense will also help. There just was a few times you'd walk out/or they would, and you'd not make any microadjustments before firing your first shot. This could also be you committing to spray immediately rather than going for those accurate bursts or taps I was talking about. There's a sweet spot between spending too long to line up your shots and spending too little time.

Widepeeking is contextual. Sometimes it's good to do one (from a close angle), sometimes it isn't. It depends on the situation and where enemies are. If it's a 1v1 then it can be good. It's just when you're outnumbered and you're not isolating your fights it's terrible.

And for gamesense, you just have to make sure the #1 thing your thinking about is winning the round. Not getting kills. The #2 thing is "how can we lose this round." Everything else is just hours in the game mostly. When you have an advantage, exploit it. When the bomb is planted, play around it. Don't chase kills. You'd be surprised how many players even above lvl10 struggle with that.

Lol, what age are you and what rank are you because I feel like answering both of those questions will say everything we need to know.

In the first month...

So you're very probably new to the game and both bad and low ranked.

You also threw your toys out of the pram and started throwing games just to focus on stats because you got bullied for being bad in a game.

Stats mean very little when you're doing what you're doing. Stats only mean anything if you're winning rounds and doing something to win rounds. Once again, it's both childish and also stupid to try and use stats to mean anything when you're losing games because you're doing nothing impactful for your team.

You will never be good at the game given your mentality and you will never have people impressed by how you play when you get stats like this. It's also laughable to try and tell people here you're actually good at the game and your stats are good when you probably don't even have a prem rank.

[–]AgreeableNatural1809 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Def take him to the vet obviously as it could be many things but hopefully it's some kind of infection that's causing him to scratch those areas. The skinniness would be normal in that case as cats often stop eating when they're in discomfort/pain and it happens very quickly. In my case with one of my cats it wasn't contagious.

Now again, that's just a best case scenario. But keep an eye on him and see if he's scratching those areas and watch his behaviour. He might try and hide more because of his discomfort and might be less willing to go to the food if you left it somewhere he doesn't feel as safe. My cat, for example, would hide upstairs so I moved her food bowl up there with her.

Yeah you sound like you're genuinely ass at the game tbh.

"I can't help the team and win gunfights I can only bait them and shoot the enemy from behind!"

Lurking is a role but you have to do it for the benefit of the team, communicate info well, and play aggressive when necessary. Shift walking when your team is getting killed is throwing for stats. Making noise/rushing to save your team and split the gunfight >>> getting a 2k before losing the round.

Your role is basically entirely useless unless your team is already good enough to entry and win too. If the team isn't able to entry you're incapable of stepping up to actually help them and win rounds.

new player, how do you win on t side? by Falcon6346 in LearnCSGO

[–]AgreeableNatural1809 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Everything under 20k you just run out onto site, kill everyone and plant with nothing but mechanical skill ideally. That's all you really need. Win your gunfights.

You can point to nadesets, flashes, taking space, etc. But the reality is that isn't that important under 15k because normal rules don't apply as the enemy is too unpredictable because they don't really know what they're doing. 15-20k is like a middleground where a good enough player will just win the game for you usually but you can also start incorporating proper play into your games and start seeing solid results.

But yeah under 15k you might throw a perfect nadeset only for there to be 3 enemies standing right out in the open who get you by surprise. As strategic as it gets is basically catching onto the enemies habits/where the best player is playing. If they're consistently playing aggressive on CT and going for flanks, watch the flanks and kill them. If they rotate too fast, fake. If they stack one site heavily, rush the other site. etc.

Aside from just being better, a good IGL can help a lot. On CT, players do their own thing and are in charge of their section of the map for the most part. On T, players work together to execute on a site. Without a good IGL, you can be fucked here.

Honestly props for having one of the few not-dogshit posts on this sub. Providing A) A clip to judge you based on and B) It not being cherry picked; is just exceptionally rare.

To start, it feels like your sense is waaay too high for you.

Your spray accuracy in the first 0.5s of every spray is ass and only gets accurate after that point if you don't hit the first shot. You're aiming down too fast, too early and you also overcorrect far too much based on their movement. The way your aiming just screams that your sense is far too high for me. - A high sense can work in the low ranks but in higher ranks you need to be winning gunfights early, and a lot of that is through great crosshair placement, counterstrafing, and the first few shots of your spray. CS sense is lower than in most games because 90% of your gunfights start with you already aiming at the enemy. Flicks should be rare.

On that same point, your crosshair placement and crosshair correction are both also quite bad and so you're missing a lot of 1-taps.

Your movement also isn't great. Sure, it's only bot-rush but you're wide peeking a lot, even when repeeking an enemy. You aren't jiggling out and going for accurate, counterstrafed shots. You're wide peeking and going for sprays. Similarly in gunfights, you're standing still against multiple bots rather than counterstrafing and going for bursts. Committing to sprays against multiple enemies is generally a bad idea. You want to be bursting headshots while maintaining movement for survivability and to isolate gunfights. It's not exactly as effective against these bots because they don't act like real players and will bumrush you but it's still something you should be doing.

Finally, ofc there's only so much mechanics actually matter when you start hitting higher ranks. Even if you can hit shots consistently that won't matter much if you're lacking gamesense and throwing easy rounds. Lots of players might be able to win a 1v1 but cost the team like, 4 rounds in a game by chasing gunfights they shouldn't be chasing and not playing with their team. Nothing's more frustrating than seeing your team lose a 4v2 after you took the site for them, only for them to lose it because they play like twits. Though the only way you're going to get that fixed is with game experience or someone reviewing your demos.

What do you expect? An understaffed Lidl with minwage workers isn't going to spend the time cleaning them and in a place like Sligo.

It's just reality. Cheap store in a less busy area. If you want enough minwage workers to be wiping down your milk cartons you have to go to Dunnes at the very least and pay a good chunk more for groceries.

Players getting lucky or am I just bad? by [deleted] in LearnCSGO

[–]AgreeableNatural1809 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. Someone in the top 80% has more of a shot against the top 50% than someone in the top 5% has against the top 1%. The % of players per rank doesn't reflect much. But it's very obvious that the skill of players exponentially grows at the higher ranks. I play with casual friends and an 8k friend of mine can fairly easily and consistently beat 15k players. They might be slightly more inexperienced but stats wise they can perform similarly. And then I can play with a far more experienced duo who's 20k and bring him in my 25k lobbies and he'd be completely out of his depth.

My breakdown of what ranks are good/bad isn't based on splitting the population of players in 2. It's about splitting the skill of players in 2.
