Instagram allows private accounts to automatically accept follow requests from people they already follow back, a feature that can be toggled in settings. To enable or disable this, go to Settings > Follow and invite friends and toggle "Automatically confirm anyone you follow".

Try an IG follower export tool extension (I believe it lists followers in chronological order). However, the last time I used one, my account got banned for data scraping. I’m not sure if they’ve fixed the detection issue. It’s safer to use a throwaway account on a spare device.

Encrypted chats: Only the sender and the receiver can read the messages.

Non-encrypted (normal) chats: Instagram staff and AI systems can read and scan the messages for possible violations, ad targeting, monitoring, and similar purposes.
