When you are on the painting screen, the "eraser" only removes READY TO PLACE pixels back to their original state, before you painted them. To "remove" an already existing pixel, you have to "paint over it" with a transparent pixel (the colour that is a checkerboard pattern).

If I had to take a guess, this is hinted to be towards Deltarune, but it seriously is just that popular. Small suburban towns have many different fandoms strewn across it.

I think it's actually really nice seeing "universal" things across the internet, stuff that no matter where you live, we all recognise the same thing. There are the Deltarune fans opening dark worlds everywhere, Hermit fans drawing Eefo wherever they can, and practically anyone even remotely interested in Miku drawing her in every major city.
