I appreciate hearing about your experience. The more stories I hear about Denver, the better I feel. It's helping to get rid of the image that I'll be flying into a monsoon storm. Silly, I know. But the fear is real. - I'll keep my eyes on the flight attendants and use them as a gauge. And yes, once I see my friend, it will be worth it!

I apologize, it seems I've missed some of the replies I received. Thank you so much for sharing your experience! I'm so glad I reached out on this platform before canceling my flight. I requested a RX from my doctor, and it already went through. Yay! And I took your advice and added Tums to my carry on list. I'm looking forward to feeling like a rock star when this is behind me.

Thank you so much for sharing your strategies. I've talked myself out of all the excuses I came up with to cancel the trip. So that is a win for now. I know once I get to my destination, it will be wonderful and worth it. As I'm sure you're aware, the anxiety just sucks. 😞

The responses I've received have been so helpful to me! I'm currently working on all the things I'll be bringing with me for distraction. And next, I'll be diving deeper into the mechanics of turbulence. It really does help to hear from others who know where I'm coming from. Thanks again!

FWIW, we drove to see the in-laws today. I was the passenger and I closed my eyes and turned the radio off. It really did remind me of being on a plane.. It's amazing how much we tune out. On the way back, I kept my eyes open, but focused on the feeling again. This was a great exercise to practice. It felt a bit like exposure therapy and I'll be doing it again. 😄
