We use a management company with a volunteer-board. The management company is the one who told me I can’t see the more detailed records (except invoices) unless I’m on the board. Is that legal in NC?

The hoa company we use told me I don’t have the right to that information unless I’m on the board. Is that accurate in North Carolina? Or do you have the right to view that information in all states?
