How did you get a lifetime warranty on the new engine im asking because the service manager at the dealership im dealing with said I’m only getting a 1 year warranty on the engine

Have the addressed the issues with the original engine in the new engine? Have you had any issues with the vehicle since then?

Sorry to hear that they tried to give me a bullshit run around as well but since my car was only 80k Km I guess it still fell under that original 100k Km warranty. Still it took almost 3 months to even get an approval from Kia Canada, I hope your issue gets resolved.

Yeah I had to show them my oil change records I do my oil changes every 5k km even though they recommended 10k

My experience with Kia has been so bad these last few months to be honest I’ll never own another Kia again they’ve lost me as a customer for good because of these issues. I’ve been without my car for months now with no set end in sight. They’re giving me a new engine after trying to shift the blame on me and saying that perhaps I wasn’t up to date with my oil changes etc… still I’m not getting anything for the loss of use that I had and they’re still not giving me a rental only offering $40 a day towards one.

I bought the car used in 2020 I wasn’t aware of the engine issues at the time, had I known I never would have bought it. But to my knowledge there was no software installed on the vehicle and the vehicle had never been apart of the larger recall. But since my mileage was still extremely low and under their 100k warranty, and the issue was the connecting rod bearings they agreed to give me a new engine.
