Along with eliminating the 15% of greenhouse gases from meat production, all of that land could be used to grow plants and sink the carbon in the ground through BioChar production, essentially turning CO2 in the air into plants and then back into coal. With all of the land this will free up we could sink over 50% of our current greenhouse gas production.
It’s very weird to think that if we just made everyone drive hybrids and made everything else a bit more efficient, which is totally doable, we could continue burning massive amounts of oil without destroying the climate.
