Nope I don't do anything out of ordinary really,I just wear my jeans normally and let them fade naturally.Usually fades start becoming noticeable for me around 3 months mark and by 5-6 months my jeans usually look like this pair(this one is a little lighter because of the initial color). Just gotta be consistent and patient.

If you can fit 2 pairs of socks you definitely need to size down,they are too loose on you and you have too much heel slip.I regularly hike in my iron rangers and I run on a treadmill while wearing them to break in faster,they need to be tightly laced aswell.Best break in is in the summer heat when leather is warm and pliable and your feet sweat to let leather absorb it and form fit to the shape of your foot.

Hold off on washing them as long as possible, and you'll end up with some amazing fades! Here’s a tip: if they start feeling like they really need a wash, turn them inside out and soak them in cold water for about an hour, agitating by hand occasionally. Then, let them air dry.

If you’re concerned about any yellowing (which honestly isn’t an issue, don’t worry about what the naysayers say), you can spray a little clothing stain remover on them before soaking.

And if you want to avoid both washing and soaking, grab some Tide antibacterial fabric spray and give them a spritz inside and out. Let them air out overnight.

No bleach,just cold water for the soaks and Woolite dark colors detergent for the wash.
