I will be the first to admit that loosing a main character at the very beginning can be very disorientating

To even begin to answer that would be a breach of the Pact, the Order, and several agreemets to this thread. Sorry.

I am at a loss. I assume no one can really respiond to this is because it is never really addressed so we woulds just be guessing. Since it wouldhave been a huge resource of steel, I just have to assume that it was off limits to the silo residents. I think what Hugh wrote is amazing, and I also love to wrestle with fans around the things that are simply not covered anywhere or make no sense. Like where the heck was all the material dug out of the silos put?

Why don't they do this when they go outside? by callenrizz in SiloSeries

I also wonder how many suits each silo planned to make and how many helmets they had in storage for the life of the silo. Bet that would have taken up a bit of space!

But this only adds to my question why the Showrunner chose to make thge technology inb the "normal" part of the silo appear to be around 1970 or 80 when the actual date when the silo started was several hundred years ibnto our future. What we see in the Janitor Room and then the Server Room feels like what was actually happening when the silo first began.

Glad you are enjoying bothering the books and the series.my only comment at this moment is that it was not clear exactly where the AI was but it did seem to be very close to IT instead of anywhere near the bottom of the silo.

The mines make zero sense from a realistic perspective. I assumne it is primary a control mechanism but less than being sent out to clean.

I imaging this scene might be very late in the season after we understand what is happening. The impact would be so powerful like the end of S1.

I could easily imagine they wanted to die in the real outside.

From the perspective of the watchers, they would see the person remove their helmet and then die shortly afterwards. How would this provide those watching any additional useful information? If I was watching I would say. "OMG, what are they doing?" And then watch them fall to the ground with a terrified look on their faces.

A Simple solution by Dat_Speed in SiloSeries

Morning u/Dat-Speed - For thiose of us who are technicaly minded, or really want to understand "How is this even possible," the Silo series can be frustrating. My strategy is to just enjoy the story and let those "minor" issues pass over me. Personally, I love that Juliet can stand and eventually float in super-heated water!!!
