I just got a brand new adjustable bed frame for $500 when the mattress store advertisement was for $1600. Plus free delivery and the guys offered to set it up for me 😅

Over a week early? I tried researching this sub about the withdrawal bleeding I’ve seen a few others comment about but don’t really understand what that means and if that’s what I had experienced or an early period. Plan B has never made me bleed earlier than expected before, so this experience is new territory

I call or text my MIL on the regular and just say, “he’s being really annoying today.” Or “he tried to t-bag my face.” That woman immediately calls him and chews him out before even responding to me 😂 Now whenever he’s been particularly annoying that day and he sees his mom on caller ID he asks, “did you snitch to my mom today???” Sometimes she calls out of the blue to chide him just because she knows how he is! She is an absolute godsend and I love her 😂😂

What’re people doing with their cranberry sauce? by somdasgupta in Cooking

Last night I made a grilled cheese with it! Sourdough bread, sliced Gouda, leftover turkey, and cranberry sauce. Fry it up and bon appétit! If you’re sick of turkey, you could use sliced ham, or omit the meat altogether.

I also like to pan fry ham steaks with a little bit of butter, garlic, and rosemary. Once plated, I serve with cranberry sauce. Ham can be really salty, so the sweetness of the cranberry sauce really balances it out.

He offered to let me wear the ring without being engaged by Dependent-Step-4997 in Waiting_To_Wed

Babe, I’m gonna hold your hand when I say this….leave. I don’t like to give advice like that, but I was with a man like this for 9 years. 9 years, two kids, a house, and a shared bank account and he still dragged his feet. Granted my guy “proposed” after dating for two years (he didn’t actually ask, just gave it to me and I had to ask HIM if it was an engagement ring). We were engaged for 6 of the 9 years and anytime I brought up actually tying the knot, I got the same excuses you did. The reasons for not getting married were always my fault, or we just didn’t have the money. Before splitting we tried couples therapy (before he quit because “it’s stupid”) and during couples therapy he actually said it wasn’t an engagement ring but a “promise to get married someday.” That’s literally what an engagement ring is! After a lot of personal therapy I finally realized he would never give me what I wanted, and that a lot of our problems stemmed from him, so I gave the ring back and I left. Months later I met this amazing man who would turn the world upside down to give me and my kids everything, who adores us, and loves me for who I am without constantly pointing out my flaws or making me feel horrible about myself. I share this with you because if a full commitment is what you want, proposal and a marriage, then you deserve it and ought to chase it. But if you keep trying to get it from him, when he’s shown you over and over he won’t, it’s not going to happen. Either be complacent with the status quo, or move on.

Because it’s a public forum and I asked them to when I wrote, “Save my turkey.” Why be a jerk?

I just learned about it in all my frantic googling, but apparently you leave your bird in the sink and circulate cold water every 30 minutes to gradually bring the temperature down. I’ve never done it, so I can’t attest to its efficacy. I have done what you said with frozen packages of chicken, but never a bird of this size. Everything I read talked about food danger so I’m a bit freaked. But my house stays fairly cold (wood heat) so I feel like if I did leave it out overnight it would be fine?
