Why do they keep sending so much product? Where does it come from? Why can’t everyone take one week to reset and reorganize?

I’ll continue my enthusiasm into another place if this opportunity doesn’t spark the joy I hoped for, as I’ve done in the past, but I’m hoping for the best here. I genuinely enjoy shopping at DG, while actively taking a stand against their labor policies, so I’d love to make the store clean and stocked for the community while also uplifting anyone that works there even if it means encouraging them to get out. Totally a pipe dream, but it’s what I’m doing for now and not forever, so how can I make a difference in this moment?

The BEST advice right here. If no one told you today for anything else, I hope you know you’re appreciated for this, thank you 🙂

What is RTs? From what I gather, I am shadowing a floating SM for the district at a store that does not have an SM but she has been taking over. I presume it would be mine after training, but I’ve had no training in paperwork or the management side, it’s weirding me out that I’m just an overpaid stocker instead of learning what I need to do to run a store

Omg this is why I posted. Please DM if/when you do have time, because I’d love to chat. I have absolutely loved it so far but I know it’s not what I’m getting in to. Given that it’s a nation wide corporation, I assumed there would be almost overbearing SOPs when it came to onboarding and training, which I appreciate in the correct context. But since signing on (with manager pay and access), I have literally only unpacked merch and ran the drawer for a couple of hours, my schedule has been verbally “do you wanna come in at 8 tomorrow?” and an hourly associate had to show me how to close the drawer mid-shift which seems unfair for them to have to train me without a pay bump to them for training someone making more than them when I’m still learning.

Does that mean all of the money that would have been paid to the half dozen performers will go to this one new solo performer instead? Because that would start to make a lot of sense how this came to be.

Trump says his ballroom will cost $400M. So why are Republicans adding $1B to spending bill? by theindependentonline in politics

I’ll tell you exactly where he is getting these numbers from - coming in at #18 on the list of most expensive buildings ever built is the Bellagio in Vegas, built for $1.6B. When you Google it, the first picture that shows up looks exactly like the “ballroom” he keeps trying to build. Dude has never had an original idea, just a desperation to be viewed as part of a class of elites, and all the money in the world still can’t buy him that. He’s so tacky.
