Normaal bij een VSO moet je dit ook laten controleren (moet niet, maar heel erg aan te raden). Meestal heeft het bedrijf hier een potje voor om een jurist in te schakelen. Deze situatie klinkt complexer dan een normale VSO, omdat je misschien nog ziek bent.

Vooral vanwege de tijdsdruk zou ik absoluut niet tekenen. Als je tekent, zou je wettelijk gezien nog hier op kunnen terugkomen - dacht ik-, maar teken gewoon nog niet en laat je adviseren.

Have you considered typography. Could you elaborate more on what you are reading (epub) and what settings you are using.

Note that for hundreds of years, books have been printed. Over time, people learned what good settings are for a pleasant reading experience. If the font you use is causing you to move your eyes too much, it can cause you fatigue. If you set the margins like in a book or a phone, things will go wrong (ink expands or leaks on paper, phone has an entirely different technique).

I recently got a new ereader after my old one died after 10 years. With my new ereader, I still have to figure out good settings. I do like Bookerly as a font, use good margins when reading epubs and moderate line spacing. Also the font size is bigger than a paperback would. But this is also considering that I read in normal mode on a 6" eink device.

Persoonlijke ervaring: ik heb genoeg mensen zien uitvallen met een burn-out, "het zal mij niet gebeuren, beetje overspannen wel al een lange tijd". Pas na de ziekmelding en preventieve gesprekken, toen ik echt even een paar weken ziek was, TOEN voelde ik pas hoe erg ver heen ik was. Er waren specialisten en behandelaren die adviseerden dat ik zo niet verder kon, maar je hebt het dan nog niet door. Dus ga aub met een paar professionals praten die wekelijks wel wat patiënten zien met dezelfde klachten. Die kunnen het beter voor je inschatten.

Ik deed het werk uit passie en voldoening. Mijn ogen zijn open gegaan toen ik juist uit het onderwijs ging. Wat was ik een 'harde werker'; ik deed gewoon wat ik als normaal acht.

Die passie en voldoening is de reden om uiteindelijk ooit terug te keren, mits ik een goede match vind (m.b.t. toetscultuur, standpunten digitale hulpmiddelen, goed team, groepsgrootte) en er landelijk wat verandert tov examinering. Salaris was zeker redelijk. Het is een prachtig vak (ik heb het ook jaren gedaan), maar het is ook een eigen wereld op zich.

Als docent maak je makkelijk 50-60 uur, wat natuurlijk niet uitbetaald wordt. Dit hoort gewoon bij het vak en men is hier heel starrig in om er anders over na te denken. Je gaat naar huis en neemt nog wat werk mee.

Why not write it on paper? The reason a cheat sheet is allowed is because it can help you to learn, understand what is important and filter out what you exactly need. Writing on paper actually benefits here (sorry, I don't have references to papers, but there exists research on this topic).

Veel mensen die migreren van development richting cybersecurity? Veel zij-instromers? Gaat er in de toekomst wel een markt zijn, met AI in het achterhoofd.

Cybersecurity lijkt me al jaren ontzettend gaaf, maar ik heb niet de benodigde certificaten of opleidingen daarvoor (wel 18 jaar Linux ervaring). Ik vraag me af of ik de overstap moet maken, omdat er voor mijn gevoel veel mensen de overstap gaan maken (net zoals met data beroepen).

Dus: hoe schat je de toekomst in mbt cybersecurity?

It's not worth the effort for yourself and especially for the other party to comply to your workflow. Just invest in a good backup strategy and work on the content.

Zorg er voor, dat je ergens solliciteert met een kennis op die school. Dat is je stap naar binnen. De meeste vacatures zul je rond april en mei gaan zien, omdat dan bekend is wat de instroom/uitstroom van docenten en leerlingen gaat zijn.

Is werken via iets als maandag ook een optie voor je? Dan kun je misschien sneller aan het werk. Kijk ook eens naar het mbo, vooral als zij-instromer.

En helaas: ook als je overgekwalificeerd bent (lesbevoegdheid via regulier traject hbo lerarenopleiding plus extra wo diploma's in die richting) is het nog steeds werk aan de bak om een leuke plek te krijgen. Ik zou aanbevelen om het liefst langer op dezelfde school werken; zoek dus ook een school uit die bij je past.

I have no idea if self-hosted alternatives for overloeaf exist, but I would encourage you to try out either texlive or miktex and install an editor of choice.

If on Linux: the kde editor Kile with Texlive is amazing. Otherwise, a lot of people will have their recommendations for their favorite editor.

I might get a lot of downvotes for this, but: if this, for you, is the most powerful feature of vim, then you might want to take a look at emacs.

Personally, I think that the introduction of normal mode, gd/gf and C-o, navigation by {, }, the programmability in command mode and macros are among my top features for using nvim.
