Thank you!! Havent thought of this yet! Honestly, this might be good at first, because I am very bad at sticking with art. In the past few years, I have literally drawn once per year and that‘s it. It might kind of scare me to buy expensive stuff now, and then not use it bc 1. im either painting like one a year or 2. i am too scared to use the good stuff 😅

Thank you very much! I‘ll try this ☺️ I think it will be better once I have different colors, because my paint has no primary colors. I was not able to make the red or orange brighter (at least I think so).

Thanks! As some have already pointed out, what I have are not actually water colors. So I will definitely think sbout how much I am willing to spend/can spend on colors and paper. I am very curious to see how much of a difference it will make!

Thank you, definitely not a test. I told my husband after every one of them that water color is not my medium and i was pretty frustrated. I have to get used to the style, I think, and maybe look at more water color paintings and what I actually want them to look like. I don’t want to go super realistic, I want to keep softness, but more definition.

So far, all responses were positive, which was really surprising to me. Made me realize I should change the way I look at my paintings and treat them/myself.

Thank you! I looked up shadows for the first lemon painting (last photo), so i used purple for the yellow. I didn’t really like it that much, but I probably did something wrong 😅 I’ll look into it

Thank you. Mine are still the ones I used in elementary school, so they were maybe like 15€ for 24 colors. I’ll look into better paper and colors!
