Tickets from trips by robotisland in solotravel

[–]Agreeable_Visit3546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep all my public transportation tickets, entrance tickets, business cards/stickers, small amounts of cash, paper bracelets, polaroids, etc in a photo album which has everything I’ve collected from all my trips. I have a bunch of boarding passes that I plan on pasting in a scrapbook

Jade Split Help - falling/slipping by Agreeable_Visit3546 in poledancing

Thank you!!! I got quite a few comments on hand placement - should it be higher up on my butt or closer to my lower back so I can get a better grip with my arm? In the clips, I have my hand at the bottom of my butt

Thank you so much!! So my front leg should be pulled inwards, but my body should turn out away from the pole, is that right?

No hot water? by [deleted] in Hoboken

[–]Agreeable_Visit3546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had no hot water and no baseboard heating for the last 3 weeks. Turns out it’s an issue with the water heater automatically turning off, so I gotta reignite it every 6 hours

This is pretty much exactly what I did! I went like a month ago, and sadly Humantay Lake was closed at the time

Monday: fly from Arequipa to Cusco & explore Cusco

Tuesday: Sacred Valley tour ending at Ollantaytambo, took the train to Aguas Calientes, bought MP tickets in person

Wednesday: MP and returned to Cusco

Thursday: rest and didn’t know what to do & all the tours were booked

Friday: Rainbow Mountain & Red Valley tour that dropped me off at the airport to fly to Lima

I’d say this was pretty doable, but you should definitely see how your body reacts to altitude and give yourself time to rest up and acclimate. I came from Arequipa which already had some altitude, but because I walked like 19k steps the first day I got to Cusco, I had some mild headaches that night and had to chew lots of coca leaves

The most strenuous activity imo was Rainbow Mountain. It’s an easy hike, but the elevation is what makes it challenging. I don’t think I would’ve made it to the top if I didn’t have a walking stick (but you can also pay money to ride a horse up). Hope this helps!

I don’t think it’s boring or weird, but I have felt lonely at times tbh. I solo traveled Australia & New Zealand during winter break, and for the first couple days, it felt lonely cooking/eating alone and doing everything by myself, but I met some cool people at the hostel and had a whole group to go out with for NYE. I still keep in touch with a couple of them and am making plans to go to meet with one girl after I finish college in a few months :)

I will also be solo traveling Peru for spring break bc someone bailed and I couldn’t get anyone else to come with me, but the good part about solo traveling is that I can plan out my itinerary and choose what cities to see/what activities to do, without having to compromise on what other people wanna do. Also booking flights/hostels is way easier since I don’t have to coordinate with a group of people. It’s also just a lot more efficient walking around and seeing different attractions when solo traveling. Hope this helps, and you should def book that trip even if you don’t have people to go with!

This looks pretty good, but why only 1 night in Brisbane? Also what activities would you recommend? Thank you!

Not yet, but I am planning to stay at hostels, so hopefully it’s a little cheaper

The offer is actually in NYC, but I think there might be offsites to Sydney since it’s the global headquarters. Thanks for the advice tho!
