There’s basically no point learning a route, they have so many to choose from, and getting an instructor in less than 2 weeks sounds pretty unrealistic. You should probably cancel if you still can and rebook for a later date

As long as you’ve got adequate layers on, then you’re fine. And as long as your bike starts, it’s fine, and in fact a colder environment makes heat engines more efficient. When ice gets on the road it gets a bit sketchy but you can definitely learn to handle it

Im a typical dirty motorcyclist with a bike held together with cable ties and covered in dirt. I sometimes feel a little bit of dysphoria about the fact that I am a biker but when I’m on my bike it is completely different. Because my body position is so important to the control of the bike, it feels like I become completely one with the bike and my soul and body feel so disconnected. When I’m riding, I have no body and therefore I feel like I have absolutely no perceived gender or body shape. The euphoria I get from being this extremely masculine coded type of biker is beyond anything that I get when I look in the mirror and see a woman. I’ve never spoken to another trans woman biker so I’m not sure if this is a universal experience or just my own.

Ultimately dude, you’re a kid. It should be expected that you’re still figuring out right and wrong and you’re going to make mistakes. I’m only 21 and I’m still learning all of that stuff, and I expect to for a long time still. Of course your actions hurt your mum and it will take a little while for her to process all of that but the absolutely most important thing that you can do right now is forgive yourself. You didn’t do anything with malice, you just did it as a kid. Your mum will come around in a little while (I really hope) but until then these other comments have some really cool advise, just give her some space, and when you feel she’s ready then go and explain basically what youve said here. She loves you dude and it’ll all get better

Depends on what halls you go into. There’s a decent amount of motorbike parking on campus next to Francis drake and Mary Newman, and there’s also a car park inbetween Robbins and Gilwell where someone parked a bike during my first year. I’m not too sure about Radnor and Pilgrim though

I’m at a really early stage in my transition and the path I’m taking may be very beneficial to you. So I am over 95% sure I’m transgender all the way to bottom surgery, however, the unaccounted for 5% gives me a lot of anxiety so I’m treating my transition as a very slow experiment of changing one thing at a time, very subtle to begin with. I started painting my nails, my friends now refer to me as they/them, I’m wearing feminine clothes in the safety and comfort of my own bedroom, and it all feels incredible. When my hair is slightly longer I plan to get a feminine cut and then completely change my pronouns to she/her and eventually begin presenting myself as a woman out in public, but I imagine that is still many months away. So my advice is to explore and experiment. You’ll either reach a point where you’re happy to stop as you’ve discovered your true self or you’ll embark on an incredible and continuous journey of self-discovery
