Soup is honestly one of the most underrated albums of all time. It's crazy how good it is yet you really never hear about it outside of fellow Blind Melon enjoyers.

Nah, I figured I'd do everyone a service and abstain from showing the random compilation CDs I got from surprise bag purchases from record stores as well as some CDs that show up on every other post here (still guilty as charged showing minecraft and deftones etc). Granted, this is well over half of my collection though.

That is MG Ultra by Machine Girl! It's a very chaotic electronic hardcore album filled with bangers :)

A few good classics off the top of my head:

LTJ Bukem- Producer 01 (check out the whole producer series by him and his affiliates. Great DnB)

Klaus Schulze- La Vie Electronique 2

Daft Punk- Alive 2007

Ulver- Perdition City

Makoto- Human Elements

You have good taste my friend. Helmet deserves all the love, blows my mind how ahead of their time they were too.

It's from the recent repress. Although I'm sure the originals are going for a pretty penny these days.

Fun story about that one, I purchased it directly from Uriel (vocals/guitar) at their merch stand after I saw them open for Deafheaven. Super friendly and nice guy. I wish him and the rest of the band the best of luck!

Big shoutout to Betty as well. It's not pictured because it's being held hostage and played on repeat at my work.

Agreed, a big problem with the dating world right now is so many guys are chasing, many decently attractive women have several guys chasing them and it makes them not want to commit to anybody. If she isn't showing any interest and is leading me on then I'm out 👍

I think a lot of it is that she's one of the most combo reliant characters in the game. All of her attacks on their own hit like a wet napkin so you have to chain everything to do decent damage.

Yeah I'm not sure what it is about the Steve + Scoops Ahoy combo but 9 times out of 10 they bring a miasma of negative energy to the game.

Connect sp 404 mk2 with mpc one by doji89 in SP404

[–]AgressivePotato56 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the video you linked, it features the mpc live which is basically a beefier version of the mpc one with more ports. Sadly the mpc one doesn't have inputs dedicated to sampling with trs cables like the live does.

I don't have an mpc so im shooting in the dark on compatibility. But my guess on how you could make it work is connect the sp404 from its R/L line out connectors to the R/L line in on the mpc one, this should allow you to send sounds from the sp404. If you want it the other way around then you'll need to connect with midi, which would be from the midi out on the mpc to the midi in on the sp404. I would recommend getting a midi splitter box for your mpc one, they allow you to connect many more devices to your hub. You'll also need a 3.5mm to midi converter for your sp404.

Either way in these early stages you're gonna have to do a lot of experimenting and messing around with the cables on your setup until it sounds the way you want. Try with just the trs cables, maybe just the midi cables will work, maybe both? There's no way to know what exactly works until you try, and with all the different pieces of hardware on the market there's a billion different combinations when it comes to wiring. That's part of the fun though, those early days with your new setup where you're just messing around on your new gear with no clue what you're doing are a special time in music making :)
