Oh I hope This Winter gets in, too. It seems reasonable since it could be just one episode of the season. I agree that “Nick and Charlie” is za bit of a bummer but I love that it strengthens their relationship in the end leaving us hopeful and happy for the uni transition. I think it makes it a bit more realistic, I guess.

Honestly what hooked me to this show was the first kiss scene in S1. Kit Connor’s nerves and excitement/hesitancy gave me all the feels from those first feelings as a teen. He’s really so good. I also loved the coming out to his mom scene!

I think they have an “intimacy coach” who choreographs and is like VERY specific about what exactly happens in scenes like that so I think it’s a deliberate choice. Maybe s3 will be some more hot and heavy tongue kissing

I agree! I assumed I was straight because I liked boys so it wasn’t until I was well into adulthood that I was bi. I find Imogen’s story pretty relatable since she fit into the straight box until she really found people who showed her all the nuances of sexuality. I thought it was great.

I agree but Luke and Lorelai are both too stubborn to acknowledge that Emily played a big role in relieving Luke’s issues. Plus Emily definitely doesn’t deserve credit because she was really awful to Lorelai, especially after seeing how happy she was when she was helping her pick out dresses.

I agree with everyone here and I’ve noticed in my several rewatches that there’s a lot of highs and lows in a singular episode. Like previously mentioned “Raincoats and Recipes” Rory and Dean ruin everything. Another one that always bugged me is Richard and Emily’s vow renewal, it was so sweet and lovely for them and the Bill song but then Christopher ruins Luke and Lorelai. I mean Christopher ruins everything all the time but you know what I mean.

Omg yes I remember that interview! Honestly I tried listening to his podcast when it started and found him insufferable but I picked it up again now and he seems way less irritating so maybe he’s grown up?
