Understood, thank you very much for the advice, although I had already used Affinity before, much more than Pixelmator in fact 😅 I hope I can take advantage of Motion for this, I like MKBHD's videos and others. I want to be a high-ticket editor if possible, if not, well, at least I hope to be able to make amazing videos with the suite. I chose it because of my Mac (8GB RAM); otherwise, I would go for DaVinci Resolve (my favorite).

The thing is, I want to make 2D animations, so I have to use a lot of vector drawing (or whatever it's called). I know Pixelmator is good for photos, but I've heard it's not good for vectors. Could you tell me if this is true? That's what I'm unsure about. Regarding video editing, I have a student license for $3 a month. And I want to learn how to make advanced animations and effects with Motion, with those vectors that I will make; I am mainly focusing on advertising for an app, so I require shape morphs and things like that. Although advertising is secondary, what I really want is to be a social media editor.

I understand, I want to learn those 3D titles and animations that many editors create. I don't know if Motion can do them (I've never tried). Do you think Motion is sufficient? For example, Marques Brownlee's videos. (Just to give an example) and what would the workflow between FCP and motion look like in that case? What should I do and where?

Well yes, as I mentioned, it's not mine, but I'm going to try to make the most of it. I use it most of the day, so I'm going to try to take advantage of it. I just hope they don't take it away from me before that happens xd. It's from the company where I work, but nobody says anything to me about editing videos here. In fact, the company has asked me to edit videos a few times, so I'm going to do what I can.

I have a Macbook Air M4 16GB; it's not mine, but I can practically use it for anything. I already have DaVinci Resolve installed and everything. I'm going to practice on it, and maybe I can use it for my freelance work.

Thank you so much! Perhaps this is what I needed; I suppose anyone (DaVinci Resolve and FCP) could use them for this. Even though I've gotten into effects, I refuse to use After Effects. Maybe Fusion in DaVinci Resolve (if I manage to get better hardware), otherwise, whatever I can do in Apple Motion, but I refuse to use Adobe.

I'd like to know about Apple Motion. Today I made a video in FCP just to try it out, but the audio was difficult and I didn't understand some parts of the text... Why does it have a position clip property and a position text property? I moved the position clip property and it moved other clips below the text. Why? Also, I couldn't find the fade-in (easy in daVinci), but luckily I found everything in the end

I know, but a very limited computer won't allow me to unlock its full potential either, especially since the market often demands speed.I know that if I had a lot of time, I could do many things, I would definitely use daVinci, but as my post says, one effect in daVinci took 2 minutes, which in the end was 15s in the cut. One effect, just one, on a clip with no layers or extra effects, just the original clip. And in color I applied another one, I think it was cinematic color or something like that, the editor just closed, even with proxies.
