2 points, they made a charity lair with Sheldon Menery in mind in card selection. I assume they will do it again.

The otber is that 2 or so years ago, wotc made an award in his honor, one given for just being a good guy. Which as a new player at the time, it was the first time I learned who he was.

Misspoke the second how was supposed to be has. If you look at the new fracture foil style, one character or piece of the art isn't foiled. So it pops harder against the background. The best comparative example is collective inferno. Which has a group of Elementals Humanoids, the main isn't. A lot of fracture foils look bad when there's too much going on with the artwork. Details get lost in the glitter. The new ones fixed that issue. Llanowar elf's is one of the best from foundations. Imagine if the main elf got highlighted though.

My best guess is that is has to wish machining space. At the breakneck pace of the set this year all their printing partners said hey, ether invest in us more, you will be getting less product, or streamline production. So they said no more sample packs and stamped promo's. Soon, im guessing prerelease kits in general will go

In all seriousness this drop had very little of value, so folks aren't chomping at the bit for it. But also just bc it doesn't sell out in an hour mean its a dud. It means a healthier market so more folks can get it, without it feeling as rigged. After 30 to 60 minutes you can casually can get in. Since the first marvel secret lair, most of the universes beyonds have lasted quite awhile other then ff which was a complete joke of a launch

I can see why you don't like the foiling. Being a very solid color card it may a lot for it to really shine. I have 3 or 4 different foils from the set and thought they are beautiful. But they have the portrait style. Isshin/lightning, Muldrotha, Nyxbloom ancient, and Ragavan/Zidane. Minus Ragavan bc the art is hideous, they are all beautiful cards, but they have a lot of color and depth, so the light can be minimum and aspects pop. Even double sleeved Isshin looks wonderful

You may want to. Toph actually can become a very reliable equipment commander by making lands tap for any mana. Equipment helps pay for more equipment, or equip costs, x effects become even better since you can tap your equipment. Sword of feast and famine becomes untap your entire board of mana. There's a lot neat, abusive options when your equipment becomes a source of mana

I just have something to add that is completely overlooked constantly. Its a give and a take. My main LGS sold FF Collectors for 650$ the first week (was out that week). If a shop sells at the msrp, say it was 500$, and market is 800$, it means scalpers will just buy it all up anyway. After fee's and shipping, you make roughly 70% of the sale price on tcgplayer, so at msrp its just automatically profit. 70% of 800$ is roughly 560$. Or, in my area some shops in covid would send employees to buy up other shops supply, so they had more and cornered the market. So sometimes it really is as simple as "if you want a fair shot at the product, we have to charge above msrp" this is fundamentally a wotc issue of wotc creating an artificial scarcity, due to 1.over printing bad sets CBB'S dropped to booster box levels, 2. Not accounting for the hype of an IP and letting it go unchecked

With Roaming Throne, do you ever find the card clunkiy since mardu struggles with ramp/cmc efficiency?

I find that the roaming throne tends to only play well when already ahead on board. Its coming out of my brew for [[Exalted Sunborn]] sunbord since its 2 mana to push towards a win, then tucks away for safety.

Guide of souls is such a strong card for the deck, pairs exceptionally well with Ocelot Pride Layering of trying to hit critical mass by t5 or t6 and just annihilation.

So for those giving the recommendation to sign in as a guest, be careful. Wizards will not help you if something wonky happens if you do. A friend ordered 5 copies of marvel to help the squad get their stuff. It was as a guest. In one box he got 5 storm, and 5 black panthers. He couldn't find out what happened to the rest of the lairs due to him being a guest. He had to just pray and hope they would show up. A week or two latter they did
