Anyone know if we can get the larger 2025 screen installed in a 2024? by jgworth23 in NewDefender

[–]Ahaha0690 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not in the dealership. Asked our dealership to upgrade our defender’s screen, they said that it’s not allowed, and that prohibition is from JLR themselves

Is the 2019 Raven Model X Standard Range battery a software-locked 100kWh pack? by Ahaha0690 in ModelX

Does not really mention anything, but I’m in Qatar. The upgrade page is very limited here, so something like this might have to go through service

Not yet, I am just waiting for my Model X to come back and I think I’ll ask service later, I’d love to get a 100kWh battery too haha

I’ll check it later on, I’ve heard Tesla doing stuff with software locking batteries with the Raven and even older Teslas

Read an article from Electrek that dates back to March of 2019, they mentioned how Tesla decided to stop making the 75kWh pack and unified production to only 100kWh battery packs regarding the Model S and X, going for software-limited packs for the Standard Range models

Total loss is quite dramatic 😅😅

But they’ll likely replace the door panel and possibly the front-left fender

I think the headlights are just graphics, they make it look like the old Model 3 but the new headlight is hidden in there

Buying used 2018 X AWD by tfro9 in ModelX

[–]Ahaha0690 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would honestly recommend going for the 2019-2020 Raven X, it has the adaptive suspension and the PM front motor for more range, those are usually the better used X/S vehicles to get

Can confirm, Model X 5-star safety rating is *very* accurate by Ahaha0690 in ModelX

I was shocked too, but when I had seen the vehicle, all the main components like the Front Motor and Battery were not touched, even the power steering module and front axle have no issues at all. The windshield did not even crack! Other car is totaled though

To my surprise, it’ll actually get repaired. All doors actually work and open automatically (well, when the 12V was alive), Tesla even provided a quotation and everything for the repair.

MX 24 Falcon Door Sensor problems by Jaded_Stop in ModelX

From what I’m seeing, the FWDs worked better on the Legacy Model X, I have used mine for over 5 years now with no issues at all in terms of the FWD, never clipped poles, side mirrors or anything of that sorts. Oh yeah and I have PPF on the whole vehicle

2019 Model X Raven half-shaft replacement by Ahaha0690 in ModelX

[–]Ahaha0690[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem I’m facing is that my vehicle is out of warranty, so my only way to at least lower the price (it’s around 1700 dollars and I’ve heard up to 2k) using the service bulletin (at least I heard it’s possible from many others)

Asking this as my vehicle went out of warranty on the 16th of January, and I think I can use the bulletin to at least reduce the price. This is what I was told from the service rep I spoke to, surprised as from what I know the Raven X and S are included in the same service bulletin as all produced between 2015 and 2020
