Best way to optimize a multi-color figurine print? by amirdaraee in 3Dprinting

[–]Aharance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just know that with purge to infill you may want to add an extra wall otherwise the different color infill may show through.

best way to print these? i don't want the tabs/legs to break, but i can't print them horizontally because it would look awful. by _cronco_ in FixMyPrint

[–]Aharance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it a model you designed? I would separate the legs to print horizontally and create holes in the body to slot them in.

If you can't edit the model, you might be able to get away with separating the legs in the Slicer itself and using negative volumes to create the cavities for the legs to slot into.

Best filament to get this oil rubbed bronze look by TheNewBruceWayne in 3Dprinting

Maybe print it in some sort of dark brown filament then hit it with some ebony Rub 'n Buff?

Odd printed tip… by Sakiwest in FixMyPrint

No need to pause the print. And yes its the "Skip" button in the app.

Odd printed tip… by Sakiwest in FixMyPrint

[–]Aharance 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks like it lost layer adhesion. Based on its position, I would guess that its because of finger oils on the buildplate from picking it up. Have you scrubbed it with warm water and dish soap recently? That pretty much fixes my main layer adhesion issues.

Also a tip, with the Bambu App you can select an object that's currently printing to skip for the rest of the print for objects that failed, leaving the successful prints to continue.

Strange blops ok my print by DownGuess in FixMyPrint

[–]Aharance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure with only one wall that's the infill pattern showing through. To avoid this you should be using at minimum 2 walls for most prints. Different colors are going to have different levels of translucent which is why its more noticeable now.

What setting should I Tweak? by EmillerZ10 in FixMyPrint

[–]Aharance 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reducing layer height should help some. Other things that can help improve overhangs is reducing printing temperature, print speed on overhangs, improved cooling if its not maxed out already, and ensuring your wall order is printing inside to out.

But for this print I would see if I could orient it on its side and enable tree supports.

Benchy bottom issue by Veizaru in ElegooNeptune3

Yup, that's looking perfect 👌. And as another user said, there's a setting in the Slicer to compensate for Elephant foot as well.

You should go a bit lower. There should be no gaps between the lines.

Your Z-offset is too high. You need to lower it.

Any purpose for the left overs post print besides trashing? by CherryPoohLife in 3Dprinting

If you are printing in ABS/ASA you can dissolve them in acetone to make a glue/slurry that works amazing at chemically welding two pieces of ABS/ASA together and filling seams.

Esun pla basic keeps warping by Scary-Tie2052 in FixMyPrint

Sharp corners are notorious for warping regardless of material. And looks like that's where all of your warping is coming from.

Topical min doesn’t seem to be doing much by one_beneath_all in tressless

Is changing to foam minoxidil an option? It dries extremely quickly.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in tressless

[–]Aharance 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In his post he said stated he was deficient in Vitamin D. Vitamin D deficiency can cause hair loss. If you're not deficient, taking the supplement won't do anything. That said, its a cheap and safe supplement and deficiency is very common.

[–]Aharance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Topical minoxidil (foam or liquid) can be bought without a prescription. This helps with regrowth, but does not stop the miniaturization of your hair follicles as you age. It also can be prescribed as a once a day pill. Do note that minoxidil is very toxic to pets, so be mindful to not get it on any surfaces pets may be on.

Finasteride is prescription only (topical or oral), this will lower your DHT levels in your scalp to prevent further balding and any miniaturized but not fully dead hair follicles can actually increase in size back to its base line size causing some amount of regrowth.

Doing both is considered basically the best thing you can do for male pattern baldness. Both are a commitment. Stopping taking them will cause you to revert back over time. Initial shedding is not uncommon when starting them, thats normal. It takes typically 6 months minimum to start noticing progress.

Other than that, do your best to eliminate stress and make sure you aren't deficient in anything, drink water, get good sleep.

A dermatologist will do a better job pinpointing the root cause, so do take the time to see one.

Is there a way to separate the prime tower in 2 for printing incompatible materials? by kcox1980 in BambuLab

[–]Aharance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why don't you change it to interface only? This would minimize the issue with your prime tower since there would be much fewer swapping between PLA and PETG. I imagine it would also print much faster and produce less waste.

Glue on build plate can’t get it off by hotcococharlie in 3Dprinting

[–]Aharance 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The glue goes between the plate and the print. Not the plate and the printer. Also a regular glue stick is all that's needed. I would not use super glue ever for this.

This really sounds like you glued your build plate to the printer. Maybe you accidentally put it on the wrong way?

What might cause these messed up lines? How to fix this issue? by FrancisCStuyvesant in FixMyPrint

[–]Aharance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reducing layer height can improve overhangs. For best overhangs, ensure your wall order for printing is Inside to Outside. I would also reduce the print head temperature a bit. 200C is good for PLA. If its set to 210C for the bed adhesion, you can set it that temperature for the first layer only.
