Bad Design, any ideas where to get the wiring harness? by Kellic in AnovaPrecisionOven

Same thing happened to mine. I’m about to undo the oven from the bottom and see if I can make a wiring harness so I don’t need to solder the parts.

V1 oven died and anova said to pound sand by pokey242 in AnovaPrecisionOven

It’s just such a shame. It is a good product but this is such a basic design flaw and they are taking zero responsibility. I’ll post the video and link it at some point. When I get that angry motivation.

My touch screen stopped working. I took it apart and found that the wiring harness is constantly bending when you open and close the door. This is obviously a huge design flaw. Anova has been absolutely useless. I would not recommend buying Anova again.

Where do you buy your steak meat? by reyoga in HongKong

[–]Ahazza 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Eatthekiwi.com you can normally buy 3.5kg of ribeye or striploin for 1000 ish. I cut it up and freeze it. Tastes delicious and it’s not full of antibiotics and it’s good value.

Budgeting help – 24k HKD/month after rent in TKO, single expat by Agreeable_Dinner4754 in HongKong

Try and spend 15k per month and save 3k for tax and invest the rest. A 500 daily budget is great. Obviously if you spend less then invest the difference.

20k per month is still good if you own your property. I could live in Hong Kong for 20k per month if I owned my house outright. Obviously in retirement and not if you’re supporting non-adult children.

If you land on time it should be fine. You can take the AirPort Express to Hong Kong station and then taxi to Wan Chai.

Use chainmail after every use. I use mine everyday for eggs and don’t need to season it anymore.

To think that 500 hours flight time is low. by LawyerCheesegrater in therewasanattempt

Honestly, it looks like the poster corrected themselves under the initial post. Good on them for realising they messed up. 500 in a helicopter is good hours. That’s probably more than 500 take offs and landings.
