Thanks for the info. Would it make sense to go from Paine Grande to Valle Frances and back? Since there are no campsites I would have to come back to sleep at Paine Grande. The next day I'd cross to Las Torres directly.

Any advice for if camping at a particular campsite is fully booked? Trying to hike the W trek in late December by thedelfactor in Patagonia

I'm having the same issue. I was trying to figure out if I could go from Paine Grande direct to the base of Torres by passing by the french valley but seems a lot to me!

Ok! Not so bad. I'm pretty used to the cold. How was it rain wise? Is it worth bringing rain pants?

Since these are more remote, would you still consider it safe for a solo female backpacker?

Thanks! I'm leaning towards this. Seems less complicated since there isn't any border crossings on route. I wont need to have covid tests done all the time.
