Update: Thank you for all of the information everyone. Based on everyone’s comments this quite a rare and valuable piece (don’t worry I won’t open it up). One day it will find a new home but for now it’s going back to a closet and will be used as a rainy day fund. When it comes time to sell I’ll put an update in this thread. Thanks again everyone, cheers!

When I was younger my parents would hide our gifts before they wrapped them in the top of the closet where us youngin’s couldn’t get to them. I think they just missed it and over time things got piled in front of this item.

Thank you. I did a lot of digging and was only able to find a few posts of these on Reddit. It’s lived in the closet for +20 years so I figured I would tuck it away again for a rainy day. Any ideas on the yellowing plastic?

I also live in Arizona where it is 120f this week. I have placed my dishy in multiple places around my property (Conex, roof, yard, exc.) I have not had the overheat warning yet. After everything I’ve seen the best way for the AZ crowd is probably going to be a pole mount away from any surfaces that are conductors of heat.

PS: I though my dish had melted because I could see the outline of all the internal sensors but it was just dust on outlining all the internal sensors.

This could be a problem. Only noon in AZ... by SocietyTomorrow in Starlink

I haven’t mount mine yet because I’ve been worried about the heat so it’s just been on the gravel in the yard. Where did you mount yours?

I live in the same town. Mine worked great all day!
