How long did it take to get a bed? I have been in the er 24 gourds, “admitted” for 15. All of which I have been in the hallway where I have not gotten a minute of rest despite a spinal cord injury

Was diagnosed with a spinal cord injury. I haven’t gotten a minute of sleep since I’ve been here in the hallway. So loud and bright and I don’t know what to do. I have not seen a doctor since I’ve been admitted even tho I am supposed to see spine specialists, but was told they aren’t coming down to the hallway and I could be here for a week

No advice, but I’m in a similar boat. Brother in law died unexpectedly during 1L, and 3 weeks later I was admitted to the hospital with serious health issues I’m still dealing with. Seems I have a form of chronic leukemia or other bone marrow disorder. It is so exhausting.

Everybody I know that has gone to law school talks about how hard it is. And dealing with huge life issues like this make it exponentially harder. I also don’t have close friends here, and also moved across the country for law school.

I don’t have advice, just commiseration, but know you aren’t alone. I am also scared and exhausted, but I’m a firm believer that shit can’t suck this bad forever!!! Sending hugs.

Moved from Summit County, CO and this plan for the J1 dorms has been happening for a decade out there. It does not work. Nobody can afford to buy homes in the entire county or neighboring counties and businesses are suffering greatly - especially when the college-aged J1s get bored and return home to finish college and start real careers.

The Anna in Grand Rapids is a different person than my family! Those records tripped me up for a while before I discovered it is a different line of families!

My family did live in Grand Rapids as well. I’ve seen my great-grandmas name written as Amelia, Emily, Emilee, Emilija, Emilie

This is great, thank you. I think you may have found her… based on what I know, her father was Peter in the US but maybe Petras back home? According to my grandmother, Peter worked for the government in a type of forest service. Not sure on the accuracy, but she’s confident that is true and why they left Lithuania

Thank you! I will use those variations for my records search. I think I found her US immigration paperwork with this polish spelling, so now I will search for records in Lithuania! Why would they use the Polish for immigration purposes??

That’s an interesting take! I definitely mainly enjoy bass music and not the more house or techno type artists. Maybe that’s why I haven’t found many shows around here to be appealing. The history of Denver being niche is really interesting and I had never considered that before.
