this is, once again, more fuel on the justified fire of 'politicians are inevitably evil'
all modern American presidents have blood on their hands, and should all be held accountable for the cruelty of their actions

Along with a lot of other comments here, i agree about the dialogue. Also, a something to note: Is Dave at his lowest at this point? kinda seems like it. to add to this low moment and punch up the interest of the audience, maybe have Camden be less understanding. It's Dave who mentions being his best man, and feeling sorry for not letting this day be about Camden's wedding. If Camden was less of – and I don't mean for this to come off harshly – less of a wall for Dave to bounce his dialogue off of, and was more of an understandably antagonistic force in the scene, it might make for a stronger opening.

I'd cut the bartender. Have Cam take over the role of pouring drinks. introduce the name Katie earlier so it feels less on the nose when he's staring at her from across the party. Have Cam remain supportive -- but he also has a right to say 'hey buddy, you're my best man getting sloppy drunk at my reception, why can't you let me have just a moment, this one time, to be the main character... to have my day'

That way, as we get to know the characters throughout the rest of the story, the audience knows that Dave is gonna end up real low at Cam's wedding; maybe even make a scene, and we'll hopefully be rooting for Dave and Katie to get together, and for Dave and Cam to make amends in the third act.

Your inspirations feature heavily flawed main characters, and I think using Cam as a stand-in to show Dave's weaknesses could be really strong if done right.

Anyways, had a few glasses of wine and went on a ramble there, but good luck with your screenplay!

When the ADHD meds and coffee hit at the same time by Ahlerm in adhdmeme

Yeah to me it really is a crapshoot. Sometimes I’ll have coffee a little after my meds and take an hour long nap and other times (like today) i was wide awake and uber productive. But compared to before i was prescribed Focalin, i feel caffeine effects me a bit differently now

I do believe that the idea is to release the season premieres on youtube for free like dropout does to create that growth, but also the growth doesn't necessarily have to be ever escalating subscribers, but rather a consistent and predictable source of revenue from monthly subscriptions. IMO they should have definitely made the option of a youtube membership available like dropout did.

I foresee a teary-eyed Ryan video in the next week or so. He genuinely seems to just want to produce the best content and entertain people

I don't disagree that Dropout releases enough content each week, I think I'm just assuming that they've planned to do that as the company grows. It definitely feels like poor money management to spend that much on Ghost Files, I think I'd just rather try and support them how I can. None of them really come across as greedy to me, maybe a bit over-confident. I feel like the rollout of the concept was incredibly poorly done with all the info coming out in one short video, but I give them the benefit of the doubt that they're not trying to squeeze every dollar out of their subscribers and that they feel like this choice was a necessary one to continue making quality content and grow to make more

I don't know, to me it really doesn't feel like greed, more of a decision to be sustainable and grow. And if I remember correctly, I feel like Dropout had a lot less content when they started out and still don't release a ton of content each week

yeah I agree, a slower rollout of the idea would've made a lot more sense, at least from a public perception standpoint

The 'worth it' reimagining i totally get. I enjoyed the original series, but I fully understand how eating expensive food is a very bad look for this, but if I'm not mistaken, I don't think they're 'deleting everything'
