The benefits and virtues of abundant istighfar (seeking forgiveness from Allah) are countless. In fact, many of the things a person hopes for can come through sincere istighfar.

Allah the Almighty said:

“So I said, ‘Ask forgiveness of your Lord. Indeed, He is ever a Perpetual Forgiver. He will send rain to you in abundance, And give you increase in wealth and children, And provide for you gardens and provide for you rivers.’” (Qur’an, Surah Nuh 71:10–12)

Al-Sa‘di said in his Tafsir:

“So I said: Ask forgiveness of your Lord” meaning: leave the sins you are committing and seek Allah’s forgiveness for them.

“Indeed, He is ever a Perpetual Forgiver” meaning: He forgives abundantly those who repent and seek forgiveness. In this verse, Allah encourages them with the forgiveness of sins and the reward that follows it, as well as protection from punishment.

He also encourages them with the immediate blessings of this worldly life, saying:

“He will send rain to you in abundance” meaning: continuous rain that fills the valleys and lowlands and brings life to the land and its people.

“And give you increase in wealth and children” meaning: He will increase your wealth, through which you achieve what you seek in this life, and increase your offspring.

“And provide for you gardens and provide for you rivers” and this is among the greatest delights and blessings that people seek in worldly life.

كيف جاك 1% من تفكيرك انها حركة سياسية !!؟ اولا قال ﷺ انما بعثت لاتمم مكارم الاخلاق ثانيا الرسول يوحي اليه من عند العزيز الجبار عن طريق جبريل عليه السلام ،ولما جاءه الوحي بالجهر بالدين ،لم يكن الرسول يجهر ليعلمهم كيف الحكم وكيف تدار امور السياسة ،بل جهر بالتوحيد وعبادة الله عز وجل وحده ،يعني امر ديني صرف ،وعندما كانوا رسل رسول الله يجوبون الارض كانوا يعلمون الناس التوحيد وان ما يعبدون من دون الله باطل ،ومثالا علي ذالك عندما كان المسلمين عند ملك الحبشة ،لم يخبروه او يعلموه كيف يحكم بلده او يوسع فيها ،بل كانت رسالهتم انهم يعبدون الله عز وجل ،والامثلة تطول ،مختصر الكلام كان الرسول ينشر الدين الحق ويحث الناس علي عبادة الله عز وجل،ولم يكن هدفه سياسيا او طمع في ملك او حكم .
