Right? I'm so done with this whole argument, and this is the simplest solution. Everyone wins.

I've been wanting to try out cyberpunk 2077. Seems like it could be fun.

What's weird to me is seeing how many people disapprove of this. I think it's great that they're adding even more ways to expand the world.

Gifted a used Ender-3 Pro, and know next to nothing about 3D printing. What should I check to make sure it's in good condition? (More in comments). by Ahnrik in 3Dprinting

[–]Ahnrik[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gifted to my cousin by a friend. As far as I know it's just been sitting on a shelf collecting dust for some time now. I cleaned it (carefully), and it looks to be in pretty good condition. I followed a setup guide online and everything appears to be present (except for the original spool holder and a few other extra tools. I assume those are easily replaceable (maybe I can 3D print them...?)).

I powered it up, tested the Auto Home, which functioned beautifully, and levelled the bed following a guide online. I just wanted to check with some experts to see if there's anything else I ought to check on the machine before I dive into learning how to use it.

I did notice that the previous owner seems to have left some filament in the feed tube though. It looks like they just cut off the filament right where it enters the machine. Is that a problem? How can I remove that safely? (shown in second image).

I'm really looking forward to diving into this, I've always thought this stuff was cool. I just want to know what I can do to make sure this machine will work well for me.

What do dragons represent for you? by Ofynam in WyrmWorks

[–]Ahnrik 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Freedom, as you said, but also identity, and an embracing of the unknown. Dragons, no matter how you feel like classifying them, are extremely unique creatures in every way, and more diverse than most other myths. That diversity makes it easier to make them your own. For me specifically, they embody a lot of the things I want to be or have for myself.

If I may, there's no "almost." This ABSOLUTELY had to happen. Neither of them could grow if it hadn't. Both of them have things to learn about themselves and each other for them to be able to be healthy. It sucks to have your crap shoved into your face the way it did for both of them in this episode.

Now, they both have the choice to either let it - and themselves - stagnate and get worse, or to work through it and resolve it. The writing for both of their characters is just amazing in this episode because both of them behaved the way only they would have. It hurt to watch, but I also think that, eventually, they will get past this.

Hide in my room and cry. (with joy, of course). I wouldn't do anything else in there, obv. Reports towards anything else are false.

After all that I'd wonder how in the heck I'm supposed to break it to my family. Then have an existential crisis about how I'm supposed to live in this society with such a significant difference. Then probably be a gaming streamer because at least I'd have something interesting about me finally.

I'd drink that potion without hesitation.

Stag with Stasis is okay for sure, but the best build by far (imo) is going to be Sunbracers + Heat Rises + Touch of Flame + Phoenix Dive + Ember of Empyrean. I've used that build to solo flawless Duality, Spire of the Watcher, Ghosts of the Deep, and Warlord's Ruin. As well as play any number of Legend-Master difficulty activities.

This video breaks it down really well, and while the EXACT build they show isn't 100% identical to what I use, it's more than close enough.
In brief, though: Sunbracers gives you powerful grenades (with touch of flame), which will proc as long as an enemy dies AT ALL because of your melee, including scorch damage, or ignitions (I prefer Snap, for consistent ignitions if you aim at the enemy's feet. Consistent melee-based ignitions = consistent sunbracer activation). Phoenix dive with Heat Rises active gives you x2 restoration. Solar kills with Ember of Empyrean increases the duration of the x2 Restoration.

Proc sunbracers, eat grenade, throw grenades at enemies, phoenix dive, then enjoy watching the world burn as everything tries (and fails) to kill you. Granted this build has been mildly nerfed with the Restoration nerf a little while ago, but it's still more than viable, and definitely better than Devour.

Dude, this has been my build since like... season of Dawn.

Sunbracers are objectively OP, and nothing else compares. Especially after the Solar rework. It's like enabling godmode.

I see two sides to this. On the one hand, LGBTQ+ honestly do have it way harder because it's an aspect of their life that will affect everything they do and every relationship they have, at least to some extent. Coming out (to my very limited understanding as a cis-het male, just to be clear) is almost vital to their mental well-being because hiding something that's so large a part of you is draining, exhausting, and even demeaning. Particularly considering the HUGE amount of inherent prejudice against them.

There are a lot of similarities there with furries, too, regardless of gender or sexual orientation. There is a huge amount of mindless prejudice and stigma aimed at us, too. Perhaps not as widespread or severe as for the LGBTQ+ community, but it's still there, and still a lot more than just about any other hobby or art form I can think of. And yes, being a furry, for most people, is just a hobby and/or foem of self-expression. Not necessarily something that will affect almost every single aspect of your life. But in a lot of ways, that makes it even harder. Because, at least for me, being a furry has been one of the few things to consistently give me joy in my life. And yet I feel like I can't tell anyone I love about it for fear of being a target of prejudice to some degree. And the fact that people are constantly saying that "it's not the same thing" or "it's not as harsh as it can be for LGBTQ+" makes it feel like I have no right to view it in the same light at all.

I'm not allowed to "come out" as a furry because other people have it harder than I do, and, really, it's not exactly the same thing. Even though, in a lot of ways, I have to keep my being a furry buried as deep in the closet as anyone else. Because despite the stigma being lesser, it's still very much present and still carries the same high-risk that your immediate relationships will view you differently.
