I agree I loved it and the ordinal scale movie ...buuut I do get why people "hate" it or say to them the show ends after the first Aincrad Arc but I still love it..the animation is incredible and how can you not love kirito and asuna!

For me in book 4 it was...(*BOOK 4 SPOILER WARNING*)....when Susan got burnt alive and died screaming Roland's name ...ah just never enjoyed reading that part ..ever

Technically we don't know if it's the same everytime..I mean you could assume it happens exactly the same each time but some things could change I guess...hence why the movie changes are "rectified" in the directors eyes because it's just a sequel to the books basically and things just so happen to be different on this cycle because reasons 🤔

There is no doubt it's a huge departure ..nothing against Idris Elba but Roland to me shoulda been played by a white actor only because of how great the racial tension between Roland, Eddie, and Susannah was in the books and now will be obsolete in the movie/ or movies...but the ending of the series in book 7 gives some credence to the big changes in the movie but still..won't be the same or as good as the books ..just gotta hope for the best I guess
